Overall, we had a mediocre dining experience. The service and food were both slow, and it was not very busy. We never received a... water or diet coke refill for the hour+ we were there. The Caesar salad and Chocolate Temptation dessert were good, but thepasta was mediocre (carbonara and lasagna). You can get far better italian food in Venice just a couple miles away for a similarprice. Read more
I like this place but didn't like what I ordered. I had the shrimp scampi and it was not great. The sauce had no flavor. ... Shrimp was good but it lacked any kind of flavor as well. The wine was good and everyone else seemed to jave enjoyed theirdinners. I ordered a cheese board as well but it came with no bread or crackers to eat the cheese with so that was a bit of alet down. I'll go back again and will try a different dish to see if it was just that one dish that was bot good. Ambiance andservice was excellent. Very cute place. Dined at Ritrovo several times, and each visit has been a treat! The pasta is absolutely phenomenal, I keep coming back for the... bolognese. I am pretty picky about olives but I would eat their olive tapenade out of the jar. The service has always been onpoint, with the wait staff being very kind and accommodating! Read more

Arugula e carciofi was ok. I was not aware the artichokes would be raw, but that might be how they are prepared in this salad.... For $16 I would have expected the hairy centers of the artichoke to be removed, and they also had browning from not being fresh.Pizza was OK, nothing to rave about, pretty generic for the style. First time eating here and it was delicious! Wife and I finally made it to the Banksy exhibit nearby and decided to make it a... date night. Kylie was inviting on the phone when we called for reservations and encouraged us to come down. Seth was our waiterand he was attentive on a busy night. Really comfortable seating inside and out. Relaxing ambiance. We split the chopped salad,delicious dressing. We knew we would have left overs but the divine smell of pizza on the way in, and Seth’s recommendations,convinced us to try two types since we don’t get here very often. The Burrata was mild and scrumptious. Highlighted thequality of tomato sauce and bread. The Della Casa had more toppings and was a wonderful counterpoint. Ritrovo is not the easiest place to find. It is mostly a locals place, but it is tourist friendly and you want to take the time... to find it. It is located in Playa Vista, right near Mar Vista and Marina Del Rey. It sits across from a park and near prettynew apartment complexes. You will find it. It is really a small town in some ways. First, the service is super great. It doesnot matter if you eat there or pick up, the staff is always smiling and they seem to like their job. The interior is verypretty and spotless. You can dine inside or out. They have a nice patio area. We usually pick up because we are nearby. We havealso dinned there and loved it. They have great pizza and all things Italian. My favorite is their ravioli. It is just thebest. You really need to try this place. You will love it. Read more
