Pro tip - Go for breakfast and beat the crowd! I dined at 8:30 am on a Sunday and found it to be one of the best Thai meals I've... ever eaten. I spoke with one of the family members who owns the place, and he gave me the back story about why their nameincluded "coffee shop" (it goes back to their origin of being located in a hotel lobby, and the hotel made them serve coffee inthe morning). Very friendly and hospitable! The setting isn't much to write home about. Very much a "joint" feel. That adds tothe whole experience I think. I ordered the Jade Noodles and the Pad Kra Prao at the owner's suggestion. So grateful I didn'tjust order the Pad Thai. He mentioned that the Kra Prao is actually one of the more popular street dishes in Thailand, not thePad Thai. The Jade Noodles were so tasty, mainly because the flavor was subtle and refreshing. This place is worth the trip outof your own LA neighborhood Read more

Sapp Coffee shop is on many people's must eat places in LA! We knew we had to try it when we were visiting LA. We went on a... weekday afternoon and were able to get seats without a wait which was great. This place has many unique and delicious Thaidishes you won't find anywhere else! The service was great and was warm and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality andgenerosity. I am used to spicy foods and they have spicy and Bangkok spicy. I tried spicy and that was some fire. I recommendyou start with mild and level up because their spice level is the truth. We got lucky and scored a limited edition Thai newyear Sapp shirt too! Woohoo! We will definitely be going back and trying all the dishes we didn't get to try this visit. Thankyou! ???? Read more

While an unassuming interior, the food at Saap is incredibly delicious. I recommend the jade noodle and the boat noodle. Service... is quick and efficient. I saw one review note that they were cash only, but they may have updated their policy as they acceptedour card just fine. I would highly recommend a visit for any Thai food enthusiasts, this will be one of our new go-to spots. Read more

I had the #2, Boat noodles with just beef and no spice ($12). There?s pickled chili peppers, chili sauce and chili powder on the... tables so you can customize your food to how you like. I like my noodles on the sour side, so I added the vinegar from thepickled peppers. The noodles had a nice chew, the meat was tender and the soup was not too salty! Just a heads up? theyautomatically add 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more. I love the R&B they have playing in the back and that we can walkeasily down the street to grab desserts and snacks at Bhan Kanom Thai. Read more

Don?t let the name fool you - this spot is a great thai restaurant. The thai tea here is strong and sweet and pairs nicely with... anything spicy that you might get here. The beef in the noodle dishes is so tender and tasty and the drunken noodles are superflavorful. Love that they add a bit of white pepper to the top of the drunken noodles. Make sure you bring your vaccination card(or a photo) and hit up an ATM before coming here (they?re cash only). Food is well priced here too Read more
