I am not a tea person, but this place is great! Great tea and delicious lunch. At night on weekends they do a bar program that... is very cool. Read more

So sad to leave this review but I?m being as transparent as possible. Stella service. Nothing much to say about the people... working there as they were kind and attentive. They get 5 stars. The location is also decent with open outdoor seating and achill indoor hangout/dine area. Poor rating is about food. Taste, quality and price. First WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what they are.I brought a cook with me and the price for the portion, quality and ingredients, it just did not make sense. It?s like aappetizer portion at most. Also, the taste is simply not good. Light flavors which is fine but not one dish had a ?this isdelicious? response. Just a weird combination of flavors and tiny portion. Teas were ok. Common Bathroom is shared within theother businesses in the plaza so it was dirty. Parking must be done on the street. Chinatown can be very sketchy at night. Read more

Very modern minimalist tea shop. My partner and I went with a gong fu/kung fu steeped Green Tangerine pu-erh. I loved the... experience; one of the employees walked us through the process and briefly went over the flavor of the tea and equipmentinvolved. The gong fu experience came with two pastries and dried fruit. The pastries were pretty small, and with foursteepings, two pastries, and the serving of fruits split between two people, we did not leave full but that?s not really thepoint. The retail was interesting to browse but were committed purchases ($$$) as they were very good quality. The food & teawere tasty, the ambiance was calm but casual (on a Saturday noon), and the staff was friendly. Overall, I?d recommend. Read more

Absolutely stellar. I got a cup of black tea and the pork noodles but I have got to come back for a whole tea ceremony because... that looks incredible too. The black tea was delightful and the food was seriously restaurant quality. I was blown away. Vibes100. Staff friendly. The courtyard was peaceful with plenty of outdoor seating and shade. Found a new favorite spot as a teafanatic! Read more

Such a lovely, peaceful tea spot. I spent a relaxing, sunny afternoon in their front patio area. I tried their black tea with... milk and their iced oolong. Both were excellent. I mainly drink earl grey tea or red tea, and I think their black tea was a nicechange for me - I especially like that it had a subtle sweetness to it so no need to add sugar! The oolong was also veryrefreshing - subtle, with a faint roast. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and love that it had plenty of space if youwant to read while drinking! Read more

Steep LA is very stylish, visually nice, plenty of attitude ("Oh, look, a turntable! With an LP in it!" I think we were supposed... to react.). Unfortunately, not very good. First, currently there is no government mandate for any COVID-19 masking, but therewas a clear sign at the entrance saying masks are required, so we put on our masks, I'm cool with that. But the people in frontof us, friends of the staff, weren't wearing masks and weren't asked to do so. Are masks a requirement or not? Second, therewas confusion about where we could sit and whether we could have real cups or were going to get to-go cups. So, after beingwarned of the deadline for leaving, my wife and I sat at "the communal table". But I guess there is a seating chart, we were notallowed to sit next to each other, a worker came over and made my wife move to sit opposite me instead next to me?because twomore people might come in who?don't want to sit next to each other? Third, before our tea came the other people at the communaltable left, and the same worker came to collect their cups and clean that part of the table. But cleaning meant spraying Windexon the table, upwind of us, just feet away. We are supposed to enjoy fine tea mixed with the fine mist Windex in our faces? Weobjected, and her reaction was that it wasn't Windex that she sprayed. The woman showed NO appreciation for why atomizing ANYcleaning product in our faces would be a bad idea. Fourth, they are all ostentatious in how they make their tea, measuringthings just so, but when our green tea came it wasn't very good, it lacked in any flavor beyond bitter. The casual tea Isometimes make myself in the afternoon is much better, I once had a coworker who made tea at his desk that was better still. Ihave had fancy tea out and it can be sublime. Just being out and letting others worry about the details has its own magic. Thisplace couldn't pull off either. If you are looking for a pretty place, to be seen, with a mishmash Read more
