This place is the best in town, as far as I’m concerned. I’ve lived walking distance from Ajito for three years, and have... been frequently dining here for four. The staff is professional and kind, the space is clean, the sushi is delicious and servesits purpose as comfort food at an affordable price. I love it here and I’m posting this in the hopes that more people willcome by :) Read more

Sushi Ajito is a delicious sushi restaurant for a la carte sushi. I really like the lion roll crunchy roll and baked salmon... roll. The upside to this place is that it's never really busy which is also kind of con in that there's only one server. And acouple sushi chefs so if they do get busy the food can take a while. But the sushi is always really well made and I usually comewith good company to pass the time so I forgive it. Read more

We came here on New Year’s eve after a day walking around Hollywood area, all tired and hungry. The foods are just okay but... the server was very nice. Spicy ramen bowl was like instant noodle with broth and jalapeños. The tempura udon bowl tastesbetter, however, there’s nothing significant about it. Prices are a little high compared to other sushi restaurants. I maycome back if there’s no other option. Read more

Nestled between the side streets of West Hollywood is Sushi Ajito. The restaurant serves a variety of Japanese cuisine, ranging... from sushi to sashimi, ramen, poke bowls, udon, and sushi burritos. Ajito also features a fine selection of appetizers, including unique dishes such as baked green mussels, popcorn lobster, and octopus salad. There are alcoholic drinks available, including Asahi beer, a variety of sake (house hot sake, sauri sake, nigori sake), Harajuku draft drinks, and wines (chardonnay, merlot, pinot noir, and plum wine). For desserts, Ajito offers a variety of ice creams, including green tea, mochi, and tempuraflavors. The Japanese cuisine joint is outfitted with bright lanterns and beachy art. The walls are decorated with cherryblossom paintings and endearing polaroid photos of their valued customers. Ajito has a very welcoming atmosphere, temptinglyinviting guests in for an unforgettable meal. I ended up ordering the spicy ramen (which can be prepared vegan), as well as thesweet potato tempura roll. The ramen, which came out first, included carrot, seaweed, and bean sprouts with the noodles. Thedish was relatively simple, but its broth excited my tastebuds with a savory kick. The sweet potato tempura rolls came out sixstuffed with delicious chunks of, interestingly, tempura avocado. The rolls were piled high with tempura sweet potato sticks, and covered in a delicious, sweet glaze. While the sweet potato tempura seemed to be mostly tempura batter–there wasn’t muchsweet potato to be battered within–the tempura made for a delicious, textured crunch. The icing on top of the dish was theedible flower that crowded my pile of sushi. The service at Ajito was lovely. My food was prepared relatively quickly at thesushi bar in front of me, proving Ajito’s commitment to fresh ingredients. My server was attentive to my dietary preferences, and I had a wide variety of vegan options to choose from on the menu. Read more

First visit we walked in with doubt, tried out a few things, walked out impressed and amazed. Second visit, tried the majority... of their sushi menu along with some of the chef’s specials, now I can finally give an honest and conclusive review. Thislittle hidden gem’s sushi is amazing, one of the best I ever had in the United States. The sushi chef is a master of hiscraft, and you can see it in his eyes he takes a lot of pride in his art and is constantly pursing and reaching for the nextstage of his art. The other items on the menu? Forget about it. They are mediocre and rather pricy for what you get. Honestlyspeaking I don’t think the sushi chef which is the owner even care the slightest for the other items on his menu, he’s sodedicated in his art of sushi, which is a great thing for a sushi restaurant. As for the price of the sushi, they are faircompare to other sushi restaurants, however you may find sushi with this kind of quality being priced much higher in morefancier settings. Sometime people come to this kind of establishment with the hesitance of whether they should invest this muchmoney into sushis you get from a strip mall restaurant, trust me I was there with you, but I can assure you right now, everypenny you pay in this restaurant for sushi is going to be so much worth it, and you will always leave the restaurant surprisedand satisfied.
