Tabla is a nice restaurant on West 3rd St offering delicious Mediterranean fusion cuisine. They have indoor and outdoor seating... that are both comfortable and spacious, perfect for bringing a good group of family and friends. The “Starter Platter” is aMUST. It features 3 of their most popular starters, melitzanosalata, Hummus & Tzatziki and Grape Leaves. The melitzanosalata*is roasted Eggplant diced with sweet onion, fresh tomato, garlic & greek herbs. It’s delish!!! Definitely my ultimatefavorite!! I also love their octopus, it has a really nice “grilled” taste and perfect to eat small bites with the hummus.The also have flatbreads made fresh in their fire oven by the bar, you can actually watch your pizza get cooked in front ofyou. They have a really good salad and seafood options which I love!! Ambiance inside is perfect, it’s dimly lit with goodmusic in the background. There are also funny and quirky quotes on the wall that are great conversation starters. You may alsomeet the owner at the bar who we’ve seen frequently and takes real pride of his restaurant. This place gave me the best first impression! Walking down 3rd street and hearing great Greek music on the background?! And then... being greeted by the friendliest host, who was teasing and joking with us. Oh and the food… was mouthwatering! I dare say itwas the best-tasting Greek food I’ve had in LA (and I’m Greek). However the positives kind of stop there, the server in hisattempt to make jokes and mess with us, did it a little too much so as we could not get proper information, he then messed upour order and, once we did order, he was nowhere to be seen, such that we had to chase down our bill for like 15 minutes. Ifound that particularly odd given his enthousiasm when we were deciding whether to sit and what to order. While the food wasincredible, it was very very pricey. You can say it was worth it? Maybe but still, be prepared to pay. Besides the downsides, Iwould recommend this restaurant, just because of the food. Read more
I actually wouldn't know how to rate this place. Their online reservation portal accepted our 3:30 PM reservation but apparently... they aren't supposed to open until 4:00 PM. We waited out front and noticed there was no expected setup activity inside, so wewent elsewhere. It looks pretty and the menus looked delicious so maybe we'll try again another time. Read more
