I have been wanting to come here for YEARS. Each time I'm in Los Angeles, I try and visit, but for one reason or another, it... just never happened until now. Obviously they're known for their burgers, and being the burger lover that I am, I had to giveit a go. Now you can sit back inside if you want, but on such a nice day, we opted to sit outside. To sit and eat outside, yougo to the side window first, place your order and pay, and then you're given a number. In about 10 minutes, your food isready, and they bring it outside and call your number and you collect it from the cart. It's quite and lovely out the back, anda perfect spot for eating lunch. The burger was fantastic. I just ordered the most basic cheeseburger with a hickory sauce andit was great. It's up there for sure with one of the better burgers I've had. It was fresh and hot and perfect in every way. My sister ordered their fries and she was happy with those. Pricing is good. It's reasonable for what you get. The one "awful"aspect of eating here is the parking (what's new in LA?). We eventually got some, but it took a while. With that said, I'dvisit again and if I have to drive around the block four times, it's well worth it. I'd love to come back again and try moreitems from their menu. Read more

The Apple Pan is a Los Angeles institution. The diner has been dishing up classic American fare since 1947, and there's a reason... it's remained popular for all these years. The food is absolutely amazing. From the pies to the burgers, everything is cooked toperfection. The service is wonderful too - the waitstaff are always quick to help and they make sure you have everything youneed. If you're looking for an amazing meal in a warm and welcoming setting, The Apple Pan is definitely the place for you. Read more

I've had better airplane food. I looked at photos of this place before coming here and was hoping they didn't do it justice.... I've heard good things about this place via word of mouth so I figured I'd try it even if the photos looked rough. I also heardit was pretty cheap so I figured I'd try it and it wouldn't be too much of a waste of money regardless. I was so wrong. First ofall, I ordered a hickory burger and a slice of pie and it was over $20. The hickory burger supposedly had some special seasoningon it, but the burger was anything but flavorful. They make their own "special" sauce that I've heard has apples in it but ittasted like some weird ketchup with a strange consistency. Half of the lettuce fell out of my burger before I even got to it andthere was still too much lettuce in there. It was a truly bland, bleh burger and, although I am not one to waste food, I couldonly get through half of it before deciding it wasn't worth the calories. I tried a couple of their fries and they could nothave been more dry and flavorless. All the salt in the world couldn't give those fries any flavor. I was hoping the pie wouldgive this place the comeback I wanted it to have but I was, again, very disappointed. I know pecan pie is difficult to make and, although I've never personally baked one, I am confident I could make a better pecan pie than this place did. The pecans weredry and lacking any glaze on top and the bottom part had literal congealed chunks of what tasted like misplaced flan. The crustwas subpar, yet the best part of this pie. Truly not worth whatever you've heard about this place - save yourself the time andmoney and go to in n out for a better experience. Read more

We got the Steakburger with double cheese (Our Original?1927) and the Grilled Cheese. The Grilled Cheese was phenomenal, nearly... perfectly made. The burger was good but I?m not a relish guy and they had it in the sauce. Still good tho! Ate our food in thepatio outside. We went on March 5th 2022 so it was a bit chilly. They ran out of heaters so that was the only downside to theexperience. Read more

Burger couldn't beat In N Out or Shake Shack. And it's a recipe since 1927?? Patty was delightful and smoky but the burger was... drowned in relish, sauce, and pickles. The cheddar couldn't save it. Proportions were off, entire burger tasted sour. Fries comecompletely unsalted. The outdoor heated seating at the back is very cute, though. Read more

Amazingly good burgers and amazingly good pie at this ?blast from the past? diner style restaurant in LA. It?s pretty simple... but often the best places are. The size of the burger is really good and be prepared for a ton of fries. Sitting in back on anice night is pretty much as close to perfect as you can get in this crazy world. Don?t expect amazing service, but the awesomefood makes up for it. Read more
