Rising Sun has the only sausage I?ve ever put in my mouth that made me want to swallow.
We got the shrimp and grits breakfast plus an order of bignets to share and some ice coffee. Everything tasted incredible. Also... the atmosphere was really nice with some New Orleans music playing in the background. There were also huge umbrellas, a must inthe Los Angeles heat. I definitely felt transported which is nice since it?s so friggin expensive to travel right now. I can?twait to see what these guys do next. Read more
Wonderful customer service - highly efficient with digital ordering online and at kiosk - window service open on Palmetto... entrance - order the beignets such a pastry treat not often found - or well made to perfection. Oh save space for the chickenand waffles - excellent. Read more
Excellent addition to the arts district! There isn?t much by way of breakfast options so far in the neighborhood so this is... great (shrimp & grits étouffée? Yes please!!). Dining al fresco with friendly staff and tasty iced tea was just delightful.Highly recommend! Read more

A stellar entry to the arts district?s glowing food and experience scene- my heart belongs to Rising Sun?s beignets and boozy... strawberry sauce. But everything I?ve tried on the menu is fantastic. Small place with an ordering window and tables,/chairs available. Small curated menu focusing on creole cuisine. The chicory... coffee is on point. Grits are great. Beignets are fresh. Here for Bridgefest and it takes 30min for food prep. I woulddefinitely stop by again. Read more
