After loving this place prepandemic, I was very disappointed upon returning. The staff was pleasant and helpful while being... overworked. Our salads and entrees were delivered at the same time and my steak, which I had ordered medium, came well done andhad so much salt on it that it was basically inedible. I realize restaurants ate still adjusting but this was not acceptable. Read more

Sitting here at Tuck over a nice glass of Stone IPA and the best fish & chips I've had on the Left Coast...an' I lived in NoCal... for decades. New menu. If you're in the mid-Wilshire/Westwood neighborhood this is a must-do. Read more

The place is gorgeous, they have a good selection of wines and drinks, and decent food. I would give them 5 stars if I would... have received a better service from their crew. Otherwise the place is great Read more

Great venue, good food, and friendly staff! Love the decor and atmosphere! For food: -The crab cakes are amazing. (We ordered... another round of them after trying the first plate.) -The tuna poke was meh. -Sweet corn was good and piping hot. -The braisedbeef was lacking in flavor but not terrible. Read more

Tonight was my first time at the Tuck Room tavern, everything we ordered was great. We had the brussel sprouts, the crab cake... and the salmon! All are a must try. Wine was great too, as well as service. Loved it and will come back Read more

The decor and couches are nice, and it's near my house, so I've wanted to like this place, but after three visits I've never... left particularly happy with my experience. The food is expensive, but frankly not great--I've had most of the appetizers, anentree, and brunch and I was never wowed or even impressed. The cocktails are fine, but not great, which is disappointing giventhat they run up to $16. My biggest beef with the place is the pretentiousness of it all though; you can see their weird wannabePatrick Bateman vibe from their website, and that bottle-service-in-vegas attitude comes across when you're in the restaurant, too. In sum, this place is totally fine--your food and drinks will be perfectly tasty and you can enjoy the environment orwatch some sports at the bar. But you'll also pay too much and it's not going to feel like a welcoming or authentic place. Itcould be good for a date or get together, but if you're just looking for some good food and cocktails and a place to pass sometime, I say go elsewhere (like, say, Skylight Garden just a couple blocks away).
