We've had a lot of Indian food in our lives, though this is the first time we've had "fast food" Indian and the experience,... overall, was not our favorite. We're used to ordering and sharing dishes at a sit-down Indian place so we were looking forguidance from the staff member on how to order here and he, we think, steered us in the wrong direction. My wife and I bothended up getting Masala Bowls (A single dish over rice). The Saag Paneer and Yellow Daal. It was too much of both. We easilycould have shared a single "Bombay Plate" which comes with 2 entrees, rice and salad, and had plenty to eat. OR we could havejust ordered sides of what we wanted. On top of which the food wasn't particularly good. The Saag Paneer (which is my litmustest at Indian places) was good enough although not anything to write home about. The Yellow Dal was way too salty and my wifedidn't want to eat much of it as a result. I also had a vegetable samosa which was fine, but again nothing particularlyspecial. The air conditioning doesn't work and it's been awfully warm here in L.A. so it wasn't particularly comfortable diningin there either. The staff member let me know it had been out since early summer. :/ If you're in a hurry and you're lookingfor Indian, this place might do the job but I wouldn't expect anything too memorable. Great Place just a few minutes walk from all bus attractions. Food was awesome with great portions and server super nice. Would... highly recommend to eat here if you are looking for some good, authentic food. Read more

Delicious food! We've ordered 3 plates with 2 entrees each and tried 6 different curries. 3 vegetarian, 1 chicken and 1 lamb... entree. Guess what, every entree meets/exceeds our expectations. That's surprising to me! Also, tried 2 desserts and 1 mangolassi. Desserts: Gulab Jamun and Ras Malai are yummy ????????. Lastly, delicious food for a great price on Hollywood Blvd. It'sa steal! While visiting Los Angeles, got an opportunity to visit and have lunch at Urban Masala. Food was really good and taste was 100%... as per Indian Pakistani food. Staff was very decent and cooperative. The only thing I would like to suggest that they shouldchange the furniture if possible. The garlic Nan were really awesome. Highly recommended for the people visiting LA and lookingfor Desi food. We have tried a few times and we like it. It is not bad and portion is good. Waiters are nice and helpful. Location wise, it is... convenient but parking is nearly impossible during rush hour. Read more
This place has fair pricing for what they offer. It is great you could come here even later night and expect to get some fresh... Indian food. The layout is pretty nice and you feel like the place is clean. I would definitely recommend. Read more
Pretty good for quick Indian grub! I got the Bombay Plate and ultimately ended up with Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry... (it was ~7pm, and they had run out of several items). Also got Veg Samosas. I did order online, but the kind and friendly workerat the counter (I wish I got his name...) was the only one working, and so I did have to wait a bit. However, I did witnessSEVERAL people walk in, wait a bit, and then leave because he was so behind. This place is relatively popular, so I wassurprised to see only one person working behind the counter. He was super overwhelmed and was apologetic for me having to wait(an additional 20 minutes, on top of the 15 from when I ordered online to when I arrived), so he threw in a couple of RicePuddings, which were actually really really good. Definitely recommend based on the delicious food, but be prepared to wait abit. Read more
