My husband, son, and I went to Fellow for my birthday. The food was amazing, the ingredients fresh, each prepared in a creative... way, and the servers were friendly. I’m pleased that we ordered and shared the four appetizers and three mid courses that wereon the menu. And I was glad that the portions weren’t too large so when we left, I was pleasantly satisfied but notstuffed. My favorite dishes: Salanova lettuces with buttermilk vinaigrette, herbs, and quinoa crumble Tempura-fried maitakemushrooms with nori aioli and meyer lemon Roasted carrots with black rice and mushroom The favorites of my husband: Buttermilkranch salad (also one of my favorites) Seared duck with smoked pear, onion, and black garlic Pea pasta If you don’t find therestaurant listed under Fellow, my spies tell me that it’s now called Wolf's Glen Read more
Wonderful experience. Our server was a bit shy and mellow. We felt welcomed with the attentiveness of the service. The chocolate... cake is the best I've ever had (I usually dislike sweet stuff). We ordered a drink for each of us (4), a salad, 2 appetizers, amain course for each, and 3 desserts to share. Total came to around $430 after tip. Portions are fairly small, please give thedesserts a chance! They don't have much of a say on dress code at this fine dining place. Do expect longer waiting time betweencourses, as they make everything to order. Expect to spend about 1 hour 45 mins here. They do offer some vegetarian optionswhich I adored. Read more
This was our second time dining at Fellow in Westwood while visiting our son; this place manages to capture a little bit of... magic -- the space itself is gorgeous, the food innovative and beautifully presented and the staff warm and friendly. If you'relooking for large portioned fare, (plenty of places to get that), this is probably not for you; but if you relish a trueculinary experience in a welcoming environment that pays close attention to detail, I highly recommend Fellow to set the tonefor a memorable evening. Despite the beauty/formality of the space, we always feel comfortable and welcome here, it is trulyperfect for a celebratory evening. Overall it was great. I was with a group of 4 and we all ordered something different... We thought the best dishes were the... Hamachi Crudo, the tempura-fried mushrooms, and the duck - wow the duck might have been the best duck we've ever had. We onlytried one dessert, which was the poached apple with fenugreek ice cream - very interesting flavor we've never had anywhereelse. I should mention the vegetarian in our group was pretty disappointed with half her dishes - although she really liked thetempura mushrooms, the gnocchi and the agnolotti. If you are looking for top notch service and amazing food, Fellow is the spot! Cozy and chic atmosphere. The menu items were all... unique and equally delicious. We tried several of the starters, let's just say we ordered a second serving of the gnudi. Enjoyedtasting several entrees and the duck entree was phenomenal. It's absolutely stunning and the wine options are great! We got there as soon as it opened so we had great seats and service.... The ambiance is perfect for a date night or for a night out with friends. I'll definitely be visiting again! Read more
