I really want to like this place.. but... First, we got seated in some dingy room behind the bar.. we declined. They made us... wait another 45 minutes to sit in the main room. Even then, it's not a very inviting environment... The food was fine, but wayoverpriced. The sides were salty. Drinks were made well - highlight. All in, we spent over $100pp, and it was not worth it atall. The best part about the night was the table service. I wish I'd gotten our server's name. She was awesome. Very crowded popular high-quality dining house. A wine list was also perfect. But It seemed that they were a bit understaffed.
We managed to get a late booking here, and boy was it worth it. Incredible steaks, with delicious sauces and sides. There's a... great wine list with plenty by the glass. Quite disappointing visit after ten years. I remember it being great, but this time both our steaks were overcooked. Medium... became almost well done, and medium rare came out medium at best. Our kids' chicken tenders and pasta, along with the amazingmashed potatoes, were more memorable than the steaks. The hostess was great and gave us a good table. Service was decent, butcomping one glass of wine after overcooking $150+ worth of steaks didn't rectify our situation. Read more
The food was OK. I had the halibut and risotto (very salty). My business guest had the steak and found it to be very good.... Parking is easy (on site or on street). The servers were great (you will never be short of water). Generally a good diningexperience. Read more
The filet mignon was perfect. Cocktails were good. Mashed potatoes were flavorful. The au gratin potatoes were a little... undercooked. Creamed spinach was a tiny bit on the the salty side. Cesar salad was fresh, crunchy and hit the spot. Service wasexcellent. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Be prepared to spend big bucks here... Read more
This place needs to be good for what they charge for the food. Meets are good and you can find better places in the Bay Area.... Sides are the best part in this place. Potatoes and spinach are the best Thing better. Service is good could be better. Theyhave tables outside and they are pet friendly. They a really good wine selection. Read more
