They served a completely raw chicken sandwich to us today. We got our money back but I feel this was a major health infraction... that should be addressed. My son ate 1/2 of it before I noticed. This is an amazing little store that has a tremendous variety of items, a great deli & butcher, a coffee shop, a sushi chef and... a great local wine & beer selection. They have free WiFi and a nice patio to eat your lunch or snack, or you can take it to oneof the many wineries in the area and have a picnic there. It's family owned (now with 2 generations working there) and they arequite open to suggestions from their patrons. Mention that you can't find something and within a week, there it is... Ifenough people buy it then it stays on the shelves. Because of this flexibility, there is a large British food section for theexpat community that lives in the mountains. What a great little supermarket! It's amazing how much variety is available. Butcher, deli, coffee, hot foods, salad bar, fresh... produce, beer/wine/spirits (of course), and much more...even a sushi chef on site preparing fresh sushi. Family owned, friendlystaff. Highly recommended! Read more
Regular stop for lunch after riding Soquel Demo Forest. Tri Tip sandwich is the best I've had so far. Sushi is not bad, fish is... good but need to work on the rice. I often get some meat from the butcher for the BBQ and have not been disappointed. Read more

Try the take home to cook pre-marinade meats. They are a little more in price, but the cuts are superb and the flavor is... amazing! Totally worth it. I go out of my way to stock my freezer when I am going back home from Santa Cruz. Read more
