Reservations would serve you well here, as we waited for 15 to 20 without one. Once seated, it was worth the wait. This... restaurant has been a staple in downtown LG for 15+ years. But the remodel made it a bit more upscale. I had the catfish withgreen curry, which was excellent. I went spicy, and yes you can choose! Spring rolls did not disappoint, my wife had the pompanodelight which we highly recommend if you like whole-fish dishes. My kids enjoyed the food too! Overall it was a great experienceand we'll be back! Read more

I did not eat here, but my family enjoyed their meal immensely. I would like to give a special shout out to the servers who... alerted me when they discovered the dish I ordered contained gluten. They literally prevented a disaster! so many restaurantsare not aware. Kudos to Thai Spice. Thank you! Read more

Thai Spice is a small casual restaurant with a large menu of the usual Thai (and a few Chinese) dishes. My wife and I live... nearby and have gone there occasionally over the years for dine-in and take-out meals. The food has usually been ok but thetable service has been erratic. Prices have always been reasonable (at least by Los Gatos standards) given the portion sizes. Inour opinion, it?s an average neighborhood place but we wouldn?t go out of our way to dine there. Our latest meal was a takeoutorder of BBQ chicken ($13.95) with jasmine rice ($2.50) and a side of 3 veggie egg rolls ($9.95). The boneless, skinless chickenpieces were marinated in a very mild sauce and then grilled. The chicken was tender but the sauce was a bit too sticky-sweet. Weboth liked the egg rolls, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. One meal was plenty of food for both ofus. The place was empty and tables in the main dining room hadn?t been set when I picked up my order at 6pm on a Friday, whichis unusual for a downtown Los Gatos restaurant. There is no outdoor seating. It was reassuring to see that the staff wore latexgloves and masks. But we were concerned when we noticed afterwards that the restaurant was rated poorly in its most recenthealth department inspection (March 8, 2022). A total of seven health code violations were recorded including unclean equipmentand utensils, inadequate knowledge of food management, and unapproved thawing of frozen food. Yuck! I wish we checked beforeordering because I?m sure we would?ve avoided the place based on that score. (If you?re interested, there?s a handy link tohealth department reports in the Yelp reviews for many restaurants.) My rating of average should probably be lower afterreading the health department report, but their previous reports have been good so this one may just be an anomaly. Read more

Angel wings, Green papaya salads, & Seafood pot soup are great! White rice cooked in a proper way, not too soft or too hard. The... chief special we ordered, Asparagus mix vegetables with beef is a bit disappointed?? One of the asparagus skin is too old forchewing & the beef meat is not tender enough to enjoy ???? Overall, it is still delicious! If you like spicy, sweet & sour, itis not a bad choice to visit!???????????? Read more

Pretty disappointing. The pic on their site and/or Google looks like a normal classic Pad Thai but what they serve is nothing... like that. It was very dry, especially without fine-sliced carrots, cabbage and very little sprouts (all are in their pic). Ialso just didn?t taste the great flavors of a Pad Thai, the entire dish was a bright yellow? I wouldn?t recommend at least thisdish here. Read more

They do not have their own parking but there is street parking. Lunch isn't too busy but maybe it's because it's still early?... The lunch specials are a fair price and nicely portioned. The soup and salad they serve with lunch are basic but tasty! I gotthe yellow curry lunch special, it was flavorful, very mild spiciness to it, and a little on the ticker side. I also got pad seeew, because who doesn't like noodles.... it tasted a chard but I don't mind. Noodles were cooked perfectly. It's a large portionwhich is great. Service is as expected for a thai place. Overall, I would come back. Good prices for portions and food was good. Read more
