Best sushi in Louisville/Lafayette by far! Cozy inside and authentic preparation of rolls and main dishes.

They may have just had a bad night, but the sushi was really below average. Undercooked rice, poor presentation, and the fish... did not taste fresh. We were there at 6:00 on a Saturday night and we were one of two parties there. Maybe that should havebeen our first clue. Plenty of better sushi options out there. Read more

Sushi Yoshi is legit and authentic. I think you can judge a sushi restaurant by the quality of its rice - and Sushi Yoshi?s rice... is to die for. They also have a few vegan options to choose from. The avocado & sundried tomato maki and the tofu pocket maki(w/o tamago) are my absolute favorites!! De-li-cious!!! Read more

The poor service could have been overlooked but the prepping of the ingredients was sorely lacking (most of my California roll... was cucumber) and the rolls fell apart easily when picked up. Unfortunately this was celiac friendly as far as I can tell butthe service/food was lacking so much that I won't be coming back. Also, I have never heard of a sushi restaurant charging forginger/wasabi. We got 5 rolls and were given ginger/wasabi for maybe 2 rolls and told more would cost us. That is notacceptable. I've literally never been charged for ginger/wasabi before. Read more

Incredible sushi! Generously portioned and the rice was insanely good. We did not experience any of the staffing issues that... have been discussed in previous reviews, and we ate here on a summer, Saturday evening when things were hopping downtown ? ourwaiter was very enjoyable! This is definitely an great place to treat yourself to a wonderful meal. Read more

$15 spicy cod roe sushi had a huge piece of cucumber and you can?t taste if there?s any fish at all. Not worth it.

When we tasted the food at Sushi Yoshi, we felt like we were back in Japan! Fresh, delectable sashimi, rolls and even a special... surprise - Osaka style pressed sushi! Adding to the authenticity of our experience was the genuine kindness and hospitality ofthe servers and host. We cannot wait to return! They also make many of their own ingredients inhouse (GF soy sauce, for example)which really elevates the flavor of every dish. Enjoy! Read more

Ordered a Philadelphia roll and a spicy tuna roll, both rolls came out to $16. The Philadelphia roll had a sliver of fish and... the spicy tuna roll was a mix of tuna chunks and tuna paste. For the cost I expected way more from Sushi Yoshi. Better than gasstation food, but for the cost, the servings are way too small. Read more
