I picked up dinner for my family as a special treat for Back To School. My son wanted something really special--Anoosh Bistro... was the perfect choice. Our food was delicious even after picking up and taking home. The reception from Hannah when I came inwas so lovely and personable. I felt like we were treasured guests although we were not eating in. Truly this place is one ofa kind. Great food and great people. Read more

Beyond disappointed with this place. We had a party of 4 on Friday and we were all in agreement at the end about Anoosh. The... server was not very friendly, our $500 meal was extremely bland and lacked any seasoning or flavor and the restaurant wasextremely hot inside. It felt like they didn't have any air conditioning at all. I'm sure the servers have to also be dying ifwe were hot and just sitting down. Maybe they're just trying too hard to cater to their clientele who is pushing 70+ years old,can't taste the food anymore and enjoys it extremely hot inside. We will not be back. Louisville has too many competitiverestaurants to settle for this and I suggest other people do the same. Read more
Ok I am going 5 stars but very close to 4 stars for just one thing. The good, everything was fantastic. The service was prompt,... the food was tasty, the drinks were superb. The timing of the meal and the presentation were also on point as well. Overall agreat experience and would go back. Now the only negative was the prix fixe requirement. We knew that there was a prix fixeoption but did not know it was the only option. It just wasn't 100% clear before going. However I am trying not to let that onenegative tarnish the food and service. This dinner only venue has amazing staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and very well prepared food. Our server, Bowen, was hands down... one of the best servers I've ever interacted with. My wife and I talked about visiting for years and had gotten carry out oncebefore but only went in tonight. I'm very glad we did, will definitely be returning. The chef obviously puts great care into howthe food is prepared and the owner obviously makes sure every aspect of what you experience is impeccable. This is the kind ofplace that Michael Gerber described in the E Myth book as a prototype for a successful franchise but it begs the question: if itis well done with local attention and care, will something good be lost if it scales out? Regardless if Mr Anoosh scales it toother locations or keeps just this one, I'll be walking into an Anoosh Bistro again. The only complaint I have: the size of theserving doesn't quite match the asking price. I'd rather they lower the price or up the amounts slightly. We enjoyed the mealand the experience greatly but felt this balance was just slightly off; otherwise, zero complaints. Also try the red wine Iattached (available by the glass), quite a good Argentinean Malbec. Read more
