Wonderful experience. The food was absolutely incredible. Started with the fried green tomatoes and apple pecan salad. We loved... them both but were really blown away by the salad and we’re not usually very excited about a salad. Everything about it wasperfectly balanced and so fresh. The bourbon vinaigrette was just the spot between sweet and tangy. My husband had the chickenand waffles and I had the fried ribs with sweet and sour sauce on the side, subbing in the Mac and cheese instead of fries.Wouldn’t change a thing on any of it. It was amazing. Both the chicken and the ribs were perfectly crisp, meaty, and not atall dry. Waffles were slightly crispy on the outside and super soft inside, just as they should be. Server, Destiny, wasawesome. Attentive but not hovering. We were prepared for slow service based on the reviews but it wasn’t slow at all. Maybethat’s just because we ate at 4. ???? My friend and I was hungry late night and decided to go here. Just did a Google search and I’m glad that I did! I am not from... Louisville so this restaurant was very new to me. The food was REALLY good, service was good as well which topped it. We hadSeryn (I believe that’s how you spell her name) she was really informative on the dinner menu + drink menu and just made theexperience top tier. The food and atmosphere (including a live band) are incredible. I would have given them 5 stars but they were out of greens. Not... sure how that happens at a Southern/Soul Food spot??? Food was good but place was Lunt busy and I still had to wait on service , I can tell they forgot I was there because multiple... people who came in behind me and sat in my section were served before me. I got the Mac cheese, greens and Parmesan crustedchicken. The chicken was cooked good but honestly had more cheese and crust than chicken (made it greasy) and had to remove someto enjoy the dish. This was everything l could ask for in a meal. My server was good. Busy and maybe a little stretched but she was attentive,... knowledgeable and great personality. The entertainment was a nice soulful keyboardist. And the food.... like it was my momma inthe back. The pork chops, the mac and cheese, collards, corn pudding, sweet potato casserole. ALL HELLA GOOD. On my last day in Louisville, I asked a local foodie friend “What’s the one restaurant I’ll regret not having tried if I... don’t eat it tonight?” and without hesitation he said “Dasha Barbour’s”. And he was right. From the hot brown to thefried ribs to the phenomenal sides, everything was on point. Their desserts looked amazing but we were too full to even finishour plates. Let me talk specifically about the fried ribs for a minute. I ordered them because I’d never heard it such athing before and was curious. We got them tossed in the sweet and spicy sauce recommended by our waitress. When I took the firstbite, the corners of my mouth involuntarily started to curl up into a smile. But it happened with every bit after that, too.They were amazing. I will note that they moved in April 2022, so the old menu pictures posted on here aren’t accurate onselection or pricing.
