El Mundo is one of a kind. This place is awesome, from the food to the atmosphere. The Upstairs is something very unique, and is... a great place to have a good time, with all the awesome decor. The Patio is great, and is a great place to enjoy the outside ofthe Clifton Neighborhood. Also, the CSX Railroad runs right behind, so it can get noisy at times with the Train Passings, butthat is one thing special about El Mundo and Frankfort Avenue, it provides a cool experience, and it is not everyday you get toeat right by Trains. The Kitchen area is also cool to dine in, and get the vibe of a busy kitchen. Overall, with 3 Cool Uniqueways to enjoy the experience, this is a Great Place to come for Great Food and Good Times. Thank You to Bea, Mike, Shelby, andall the Awesome El Mundo Staff for a Great Experience Everytime. -Adam Hill (Regular Customer since 2017) Read more

Cool atmosphere. Daughter enjoyed quesadilla and I had the vegan chorizo street pacos, pico is a little bland needs a a little... refresher. Vegan queso is good, not a huge of the Smokey taste but it?s still good! Read more

The staff was great and the atmosphere was great. Drinks were great, had a mojito, margarita and an old fashioned. All were very... good. Now on to the food?. I feel like ppl who don?t know what good Mexican food is would like it. Had chips and queso, a grandeburrito and my girlfriend had a quesadilla. The queso was gritty and the chips were oily like the oil wasn?t hot enough whenthey cooked them. The quesadilla was adequate. All I can say about the burrito is I hope you like beans. It must have had awhole can of black beans in it. It had a red/brown sauce on it that also tasted like beans. It was very Americanized and didn?ttaste like authentic Mexican food at all. The food was B tier at best. I wouldn?t necessarily recommend you avoid them though bcprice wise it wasn?t bad, along with the quirky atmosphere and very good waitress you will still likely have a good experience. Read more

We got queso and salsa to start with. Both were okay but not exceptional. For our entrees we got the chili relleno and the green... chili enchiladas. Once again, both were good, but nothing that would draw me back again. I would go back, but it's pretty fardown my list of favorite restaurants in town. Read more

First of, find parking road side. Now, they have seating in the back side of the restaurant that is kind of hidden. It was a... hot, humid day but the temperature in the back was bearable. They have some fans. Ordered mussels as starters and then fishtacos and Chile Relleno as main entree. 4.5 stars for mussels. They were not cleaned properly and a speck of sand would hit yourtaste buds every now and then. Other than that the soup of mussels was good and so were the mussels. Fish tacos 4.5 stars again. The fillet was good and done to taste. Beans, rice, salsa was nothing extraordinary. Chile Relleno lacked taste so giving it a3 star. Server was friendly and good ambience overall. Read more
