Great sandwich to be had here. My son and I tried the T.W.A.G and the Bodega, both terrific choices.. The man working the front... was pleasant and informative when it came to Melt 502. To top it off the employee who is surely the owner gave me a free cannedCoke as we were leaving, just to prevent me from making another transaction, due to not having cash on hand. They earned 2 newcustomers and we will absolutely being going back in the near future. Thanks again big guy for the Coke on the way out... Read more

Last Monday we found Melt 502 and drove from Taylorsville to Fern Creek to try the new place. It was a Monday so they weren't... busy but the place was clean and we were greeted by one of the owners. He was friendly and helped us navigate the menu. Wetried two different egg rolls and they were delicious! We tried three different sandwiches and each were delicious andsubstantial. We have already told our family to give them a try, now I'm recommending it to EVERYONE! Great food, passionateowners trying to make a go of a brick and mortar location in a challenging labor market, with delicious and unique sandwichesgotta love that! Read more

A great little dive bar. Best fries ever! According to my mother. We dined early afternoon, and every thing was fast, hot, and... crispy. Crinkle cut fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Most things were a little greasy. Might beVERY different later in the evening. Read more

Pretty good food! I will have to admit that I don't think the prices match though. A little high for what it is in my opinion.... The gentleman that took our order seemed more than happy to give suggestions and answer any questions. I'd be more inclined toreturn if the servings were bigger or the prices were lowered. 1 egg roll for $4-$5 seems a little high, and they aren't largeby any means. Read more

Wow!!!!! I read about Melt 502 and couldn?t wait to go! I was so excited about checking this place out and it did not... disappoint! Super happy about how close it is to my house too. The food was unreal! I absolutely love everything about thisplace! We had the Hot Boy Roll (buffalo chicken, cheese in hot sauce deep fried), the Slim Shady (grilled cheese), Tomato BasilSoup, French Fries and the Labelle (similar to a patty melt). After my wife was full I made sure to finish hers for her?..lol. Get out there and support this local business! Read more

Disclaimer for only 2 stars: Four of us ate here, one did get sick that evening. But, that aside: Food was tasty and the egg... rolls were a unique touch. Only improvement would be to make them smaller and offer a couple or more than one to an order. Wealso had sandwiches with most being pretty good. We also got some of the loaded fries which were amazing. The servings arehuge, so be prepare. They also serve beer as well. Overall the value was great. Service was a little below par, but it's mostlikely due to working out the kinks of a new place/staff. Some orders got mixed up, but they were quick to fix and veryapologetic. I think with a bit more time, those issues will fade. One improvement they could make is confirming ticket totable number and taking table number when order is filled. Read more

This establishment is still in its infancy. Premature stage to be honest, but I have high hopes for it. The setup they have... lends to live music, but there's so much still to be done for Melt 502 to reach its full potential. From an outside lookinperspective, it seem as though there is an identity crisis of whether its a restaurant, a bar, or a club. It could be wildlysuccessful in any of those iterations, or potentially a little of all three. I ordered the sauce money sandwich specificallybecause it was described with thin sliced chicken. I was curious as to hw it would be prepared. Unfortunately, when i receivedthe sandwich, it jut had 2 chicken tenders on it and not really enough bbq sauce on it to live up to its moniker. The fries weregood, they just could have been a bit warmer. I'm truly rooting for this spot I can see it being a nice hangout. I'll revisit ina month to see if some of the kinks have been worked out. First let me say the food is really really good, albeit a little pricey for what it is, but really good. The staff was also very... friendly. Now I understand as of the date of this review the place is not officially open but I believe if you are not ready tobe fully open do not open. While I was inside eating with a couple other people the place was just closed. Several groups ofpeople showed up over a period of a half an hour (it did take a while to get our food) just to be met with a locked door. Ithink people are excited to try a new restaurant and they were clearly upset that it was suddenly closed without anyannouncement outside of a piece of paper taped to the door. I wish you all luck, we need more interesting places to eat in thisarea. Read more
