First visit and I was not disappointed. Love the Butcher Town vibe of this quarter of Louisville. Numerous visits over the... years to this great, lively city, however this was my first Pho restaurant visit. My Chicken Curry was well balanced andslightly spicy. Great portion. The beer garden in back was a great surprise. More time and a different time of the day, I cansee gathering for a local beer or bourbon (neat) in the shade sampling some spring rolls. Vegetarian options (OG course) and vegan options. Yes theydo have the stake meats! All made with precision, care, and standardization! This is not authentic Vietnamese food. This is a watered down westernized fast food version of Viet cuisine. I ordered... grilled caramelized pork with noodles. Its not grilled , it's not caramelized... It's sous vide pork . I ordered fried riceand it was shredded carrots with rice. We also ordered pho to go, however it was brought to us as dine in. The waitressapologized and said we could have it to eat and she would pack a new one to go. 10 mins later she came back to apologizedthat the owner didn't approved of the "on the house" gift, and took it back. Wow. Not a great experience on top of the notso great food. Not traditional Vietnamese food if that's what you are looking for. Read more
