Wow. First time having dinner here and we were not let down. The food was amazing and rivals any of the up-scale national steak... places (think Ruth's Criss). The steak was done perfectly (med-rare+), the sides were Brussels sprouts and scalloped potatoes.Superb! The crab cake starter was the best crab cake I remember ever eating. My wife and I ordered the 16oz NYStrip and twosides to split between us. It was more than enough food and even took some of the steak home, maybe about 4oz or so, can't waitfor steak and egg breakfast this morning. ???? The service was impeccable. Our waiter brought the steak knives and noticed onekd them had a spot on the blade. He took it brought back another one. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and didn't skip abeat. We took a road trip to Louisville from Chicago for my birthday weekend. I can’t rave enough about this establishment. The... decor, drink selection, service, and food were all top notch. I highly recommend choosing the shepherds pie as your choice ofspud with your steak. It’s mixed with braised short rib and gravy. I’ve never seen that as an option at a steakhouse and ittastes incredible. Love this place! Read more
Great dining experience. We came with a group of 8 for my brother's birthday. 4 kids and 4 adults and everyone was very well... catered to. My strip steak was cooked to a perfect medium and my old fashioned was delicious. The drink was also on happy hourwhich my server Jesse let me know about. That made my cheap heart happy. Jesse was amazing and anticipated all of our needsbefore we had to ask. She also brought my brother a birthday dessert without us asking. This was my first time but I willabsolutely be returning. Erin was our server and she was excellent! She answered all of questions and had great recommendations. I started with a... Bourbon Smash. Followed a Pama Pop. Delicious ???? My entree was the Land & Sea with the Cream Corn Brulee and we subbed thelobster tail. My wife had the Seared Halibut with Potato Au Gratin and the Carmalized Brussel Sprouts. Well we lucked out here. This is a higher touch steakhouse. All the wait staff were attentive and fun to interact with. Lots of... great items on the menu. I had the salmon with mashed and brussel sprouts. Frankly it was one of the best pieces of salmon I'vehad all year. We split the bread pudding and it was delicious. Job well done Steak and Bourbon. I don’t think there are enough nice things to say about Steak & Bourbon. From the moment you walk in you are treated with so... much respect. (Quick story, a few years ago was our first time here, Sherman was our waiter. That experience with Sherman prettymuch set the standard for us on great, no, EXCELLENT service, so when I walked into tonight and saw him in a suit and knew hehad been promoted I was overjoyed for him) ANYWHO, a group of 6 of us had dinner, 4 first timers. My partner and I have beenhyping this place up for a couple years now so we were thrilled to finally get everyone here. Derrick was our server and Derrickmust have been a product of Sherman’s training because he was nothing short of excellent. We ordered many apps, entrees, anddrinks. Derrick was very helpful, honest, and attentive. There wasn’t a single thing left on any plates if that tells you howgreat everything was. I am also very excited to crack open this Old Forester bottle. Steak & Bourbon is one of our absolute mustgoes when we are in Louisville, and if you’re a fan of excellent service, great drinks, and amazing food, you should make thetrip. Read more
Celebrated my birthday with my sister. First time and LOVED it. The best part is the staff super friendly, and they celebrated... us too, with a dessert for our birthday!! We came here for a celebratory dinner and had such a great time! Our server was prompt and also very funny which made for a... great overall experience.
