This is a Louisville tradition of some of the best fish around. It is only open on Saturday that I know of. They serve fresh... fried fish that has perfect taste and texture. You can also get seasoned onions, wheat or white or light rye bread, and tartarsauce here. For a side you can get french fries too. If you live in Louisville or are visiting Louisville make your way here ona Saturday to get some fried goodness that puts most fish places to shame. Read more

They are the friendliest group of people and they come back year after year! The best fish and onions in Louisville by far!!!... This place is a LEGEND here in Louisville. I have been going there for over 35 years and although inflation makes the price goup and portions go down, I will still buy it no matter what. Read more

Was in town from Cincinnati for an event and googled restaurants in the area. Sounded like a good change of pace from the... typical restaurants, and damn, it hit the spot. Fish and the fries were absolutely awesome !!! Got there at what we thought wasearly, but they closed before 5:00 because they sold out !! Both the person in front and behind me ordered 4 pounds of fish, andi can see why. Wish we had a place like this in the northern part of Cincinnati!!! Read more
I tried Suburban's fish for the first time 11 years ago, and have been hooked ever since! It is my favorite spot on Saturday to... grab a bite to eat. In my honest opinion, it is the best fish in the whole wide world! You can order a sandwich, a platter(comes with fries & coleslaw), or fish by the pound ($11 per pound). I truly get depressed each year when it is time to close upfor the winter (Nov-March). Each year, I count down to opening day to get my fix after the long wait. Haha! If you have nottried it - you are missing out. Come with cash!!! They don't take cards... And you need money to buy from the cute little oldladies' bake sale that is always set up there! Read more
