We arrived around 9:30 pm after a movie. The menu looked fantastic. The waitress arrived at our table and took our drink order... promptly but our drinks took about 10 to come out. We asked if the grill was still open we were told the grill closed at 9:40and it was then 9:45. We finished our drink and had to find someone to close out our tab. Or waitress finally helped us withthis and we left. I was told this is an unusual experience. We probably won't try again. Read more

Rascals is a local sports bar and restaurant located in a great location in Rockford Illinois. Located at the corner of a major... intersection which made it easy to get in and out. Another plus is that we were in a camper with a trailer tow behind neededlots of parking and the parking lot had ample parking. Our waitress Kaylawas very attentive and came to our table at least sixtimes during our one hour dinner visit which was very attentive. I ordered an IPA which is really good and she kept our Watersfilled throughout the dinner. My friend ordered the chicken gumbo as a side soup and he said it was very good. IPA was delicious16 and 24 oz. my wife had the special work which was the Pineapple Express spinach wrap which is notable because it had largechunks of chicken which was very unusual and delicious however the pineapple jalapeno sauce was a tad bit too hot for theaverage person. The jalipeno peppercorn burger was larger than expected, very spicy. I opted for the steamed broccoli and I wascompletely full. I had an issue with my food Saturday night so the owner reached out to me and apologized for the experience and he gave me a... refund and a gift card. I've been going to Rascels for years for the Prime Rib and I will still continue to go back. Not everyrestaurant reaches out to their customers to make sure they have a good experience.
