No joke, their menu is very good. Typically when you've been to one diner, you've been to them all, but the menu here stands... out. ???? Read more

Update Sept 2022: Sadly lowering my 5 stars to 3. Their quality of food and service seems to have lowered quite significantly.... My family ordered a denver omlette with hashbrowns and a slice of French toast, all star combo with french toast, and the farmertriple decker sandwich. The slice of french toast from the omelette meal was missing, the french toast from the combo was noteven french toast and was the end of the piece of bread which I find pretty cheap, and the turkey on the sandwich was so dry andold tasting that it couldn't be eaten. Not to mention the quantity of food that you used to receive is not what it is anymoreeven though priced have gone up. Pretty sad since there aren't many good family restaurants in the town. I guess we will beseeking out of town now for a new family restaurant. Update Sept 2021: Finally went in to eat instead of doing take out only. The inside is so nicely remodeled and all of the wait staff was so friendly and kind!! I had the kettle creations with lemonsoup and the side salad. I think getting it with the side salad instead of half a sandwich makes it a bit expensive for what youget since for a few dollars more I could have had an entire meal with my soup and salad but I wasn't too hungry and it did thejob. Their side salad is just delicious. It's my favorite of all restaurant side salads so you'll never go wrong with eithersoup or salad here. Update: back again because we just can't get enough!! If you can't decide between breakfast and dinner, getthe monte cristo!! It's the best I've ever had!!! I wish it came with a small container of syrup though because it made it thatmuch better. Perfectly cooked French toast with a huge stack of ham and cheese. Plus a side and a soup/salad!! My husband got abacon cheeseburger that looked amazing!! My family has eaten several different meals here and for the most part they havealways been amazing! You get SO much food for your money. My favorite item is the French onion bur Read more

If I could, I would have given this little gem of a restaurant 100 ?'s!!!! My man and I are always looking for a place for a... good burger. Well we found one!! Not only was the "Juicey Lucy" a PHENOMENAL experience but her plate partners, parm fries, were out of this world DELISH!!! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the first door opening to leaving the building. Ourserver, Becky, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menuS.... YEP!! I said MENUS!!! The regular one and.....shhhh! "The not so secret menu" Oh yeah.... One more thing..... The Bloody Mary.... Top Notch!!! Is all I can say about that. Sothe long and the short of this dining experience was nothing short of PERFECT!!! We will definitely be back to try more of theother selections....like street tacos!! Read more

After the last two experiences we've had, we're done. Today our to go order was packed in melted, burned styrofoam containers... with holes in them. No syrup or butter were included for the pancakes. Food was mediocre. The previous time they sent us homewith the wrong order, my husband drove all the way back to pick up our (now cold) food and they attempted to charge us for itemswe didn't order. When I called, we received no apology, no remorse, and acted irritated that I wanted the errant charges removedfrom our bill. They obviously know that they're one of the only options for people in Lowell, and treat customers accordingly. Read more

GEORGE?S FAMILY RESTAURANT located on Commercial Dr. in the quaint town of Lowell, IN is a nice stop for lunch or after church. ... It?s menu offers a plenitude of breakfast specials & sandwiches. The price point is affordable & very much in line with othersimilar restaurant venues. Upon arriving I first noticed the overall small town charm and Sunday after church crowd fillingmost of the tables. We were promptly seated and were offered menus. I do like when a restaurant has a separate ?specials? ofthe day menu which George?s ?did have?. I tried the (Southwest Chicken Salad) which was good & portion size ample. Mycompanion had the breakfast sampler which he did enjoy. The staff was attentive & overall vibe of this restaurant good. I likecomment on noise level which can make the difference in a relaxing experience. George?s was good on this note & temperaturewise just abit ?chilly? for me. Overall I compliment this restaurant on its satisfying points & family friendly atmosphere. Read more

Eat here. Expansive menu, terrific food, and LARGE servings. We have eaten there twice, 3 years apart while visiting relatives. ... Was impressed the first time, and decided to go back. Not disappointed! They did a great job with adapting my order due to foodrestrictions. Again, EAT HERE. Read more

Stopped in twice, sat later morning and sunday early morning. Both days we had wonderful service, but the coffee and hashbrowns... were definitely better on Sunday than Saturday. Only downside was chilly with the air on, and bathroom floors were very stickyand could smell faint odor of sewer. Average cost for the three of us 40 to 45 per visit. Not an over abundance of food butenough that you left feeling full. Read more

We liked this place. We came here on a Friday afternoon around 2pm; and it wasn?t busy at all. Masks were optional. I ordered... Eggwich (two scrambled eggs, toasted croissant, bacon, avocado, red onion, swiss cheese, served with breakfast potatoes) Insteadof breakfast potatoes, I asked for onion rings. I just wish they could give me more onion rings. ???? The food was good and wewill be back. Read more
