It may not be as noticeable from the street as it should be, but Markos in Lowell is some of the best Mediterranean food I've... ever had. The customer service is top notch and it has exactly the flavor profile that I was hoping for. The chicken is tenderand cooked fresh. The yogurt and cucumber sauce and hot sauce go extremely well together. My wife and I usually share one orderof their Monster Fries with chicken (spicy). It is more than enough for two people and the fries serve as a great bed for thechicken, tomatoes, onions and sauces. My only complaint would be, of the multiple times we've had, one time the fries were notas fresh as I would have liked. To be fair, it was about a half hour till they close. There are benches outside which you caneat on, or just eat in the car. There is parking available usually, but the traffic right outside is a pain sometimes. Marko?s has the best gyro around. Get the ?gyro platter? for some extra crispy Greek fries. Stop by for lunch during the week,... or for their dinner hours on certain days. This food is delicious, and right in the heart of downtown Lowell! Read more
Go right now. The customer service is impeccable and the food matches. The Mediterranean loaded fries with marinated chicken and... spicy sauce was fantastic. Portion was quite large and the staff will bring food to a table or car for you. The unfortunatereality is the traffic patterns make this place criminally difficult to get to. But I?ll walk a mile in the snow to go here if Ihave to. Keep up the phenomenal work. Read more
This is the second time, my husband and I have chosen to eat here. Yes, they have an off schedule but I think they are entitled... to that, considering their food and customer service is out of this world. I highly recommend Marko's, to everyone! "The GrilledGyro" is so fresh. Their "folds" are fresh baked, daily! The Spanish sweet onions, vine tomatoes, and their HOMEMADEyogurt/cucumber/garlic sauce... everything is so fresh!! I?m mad at myself for not coming to Marko?s sooner but also thankful for their summer hours! Marko?s grill is popular during... lunch time during the week day (11-3:30)! Serving Greek food, I knew I had to try the spicy gyro platter for $10, which is anamazing deal. The gyro was juicy and flavorful (so don?t wear white unless you want to make a Bob Ross painting on your shirt)and the fries were crispy and well seasoned! You can actually buy their seasoning too! During the summer, they are open from6-8 on Thursdays and Fridays. Please come by, try their food, have a wonderful conversation, and convince them to be open laterlonger! If you want to park in their lot, there is some street parking on Summer st but my recommendation would be to park inthe lot - you?ll need to go through Appleton to get to them. Read more
