My husband and I were going to stay at Southfirk Lodge for one night before we went on our whitewater rafting trip the next day.... We were so excited for this trip because my husband and children have never been rafting before. I picked Southfork because itis right on the river, what a gorgeous place. The rooms look like little log cabins! an unfortunate situation came up and theywere so kind to our family! We especially thank the manager at Southfork ( I wish I knew their name )! We will for sure be backnext summer, I can?t wait!!!! Read more

Southfork Lodge has so much potential but it?s just not there yet. We just stayed a few nights in one of the cabins, having... booked months ago, and while the cabin itself was nicely refurbished, there were absolutely no amenities available. We showed upand found out unexpectedly that the restaurant was closed indefinitely, there is no cell service, and the internet didn?t workto be able to contact anyone. There were no staff around to ask questions or get help. I randomly spotted some workers in theback of the restaurant who were very helpful but had we not run in to them, we would have been completely out of luck. For theprice we paid, there should be much better accommodation. They should not be renting out cabins until the place is actuallyopen, especially at the high rate they charge. Read more

I recently stayed here with clients while we were doing the Idaho BDR. It?s good to see life coming back into this business. The... new owners, and staff are amazing and super helpful. They went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. I look forwardto returning next year and see everyone again. It truly is a special place. Read more

This place is closed and "For Sale" For sale sign is knocked down but there was no one here and boarded up until ? ? Nice ride... from Weiser to here though. This is site 23 for the 2022 running of the Pacific NorthWest Grand Tour PNWGT. Location is great, wish I had the means to but it and just live in it or . . . Reply owners reply . . . The place is attractive, and peacefull. Was not rating service or amenities, just the physical setting. The review was to let others know it was closed and you have toselect a star or stars to do that. Thanks for informing me that it is open, definitely worth another stop. Read more

We had a nice stay. The Room was clean and everything worked. I suggest you arrive early if you plan to eat at their little... cafe. We arrived around 6:40 and warned formed that it closed at 7 PM So I rushed in to eat before they closed. The people wereexceptionally friendly and accommodating and stayed open late to serve us. I got the elk Burger because when in Rome... Ifthis review was helpful to you, please give it a thumbs up! Read more

We stayed here last summer and reall enjoyed our stay. Wish I could say it was the same this trip. The cabin was great though... and super clean. However, the customer service was highly lacking. Seemed to be more of an inconvenience when walking into therestaurant than anything. Gal waiting on us was outside smoking and the first thing she told us was the espresso machine quitworking. Food Menu was explained as to everything we couldn?t order. Patio is closed and very limited menu. Which I dounderstand during these times, but was never told this prior to arriving. And the way they did explain it, was a turnoff to saythe least. We even emailed the owner and never got a response. Just wasn?t a great environment to relax and enjoy our stay! Read more

WOW, we read the reviews about the "mean lady", who turns out to be the owner, but we saw it for our selves this weekend. She... was rude and not welcoming when we checked in while reciting all the rules of staying in the Inn rooms. This could have beendone in a very welcoming manner. The owner was working the patio bar and told us we had to go upstairs to the restaurant for acup of ice I wanted for my bottled water and to order dessert, when her husband told us he would get it for us, we were at thedownstairs patio with the inside bar right there! The lack of welcoming customer service was again witnessed when we wereleaving after a nice breakfast on the balcony. A couple had come in and asked to eat out on the balcony where we had just beenand the same lady, owner said rudely, " we don't serve breakfast outside, you will have to eat inside." We had just come fromthe balcony and hearing this in the rude tone of voice made us cringe. The room was clean and we were glad we got one that didnot allow dogs. It's a great place, food was great, but I think the rudeness and obvious lack of customer care protocol wasapparent. So much money can be made with repeat customers if only the front line person, who happens to be the owner, showed shecared about the people paying her prices for service. Not sure we will be back due to that one person. Her husband wasamazing!!! Remember, repeat customers bring others and spread the word!!! Read more
