Husband I last decided to give this place a spin. He was craving seafood. He got the prince boil 33.00. I personally would never... spend 33 on a plate of anything but he enjoyed it. I got the hamburger steak plate and that's where things went wrong. I sawthey had a pretty good soul food menu and great sides. I told the waitress it was our first visit and asked the waitress whather favorite was and she said everything. I was hoping to hear what their signature dishes were. I love honestly when I'mvisiting a place first time. I chose the hamburger steak with gravy and onions as the waitress didn't really have any specialitysuggestions and it's hard to mess hamburger steak up. Our plates came mine with a generous 2 patties I had the cabbage excitedthey serve cornbread and mashed potatoes as my sides. Right out the gate I was disappointed the hamburger patties were frozenand the cheap kind. Very little onion maybe a couple small pieces. The cabbage I was excited to try was inedible. Now hear meout I am the salt queen. I load my foods with salt and seasonings cabbage especially it needs salt! I took one bite and wasdone. The mashed potatoes were so dry and the cornbread was so stale and hard you couldn't hardly tear it apart. We were thereat 7 on a Saturday night food should be fresh for dinner rush but that cornbread was not fresh it takes a long time forcornbread to go stale and inedible. I also had a almond joy daiquiri it was okay. We ended up paying 75.00 with a 9 dollar tip.Very pricey for one seafood boil and a plate of not so edible food. Also I ended up not feeling well a few hours later and let'sjust say I had a VERY LONG night. Nevertheless the waitress was kind. We tipped well. But as of right now we will not be back. Imuch rather have one fresh ground beef patty with plenty of onions and gravy then two cheap wierd patties. And the sides had somuch potential but..someone likes to throw a whole large container of salt to the mix or maybe it was jus Read more

My family and I went on a Friday evening. We came back because our first experience was amazing. This time we waited 30 minutes... for our drinks, that basically came out with our food. They waited to tell me they were out of sweet tea so I waited another 10minutes for water. As another table (same waiter) gave a whole table refills and to go boxes. My food and my husband's was good. But my son's chicken tenders were old the chicken was tough, hard, and dry. The waiter said they were fresh and probably justoverlooked. They cooked them again and they didn't even have salt or pepper on them. There were 2 other families that had towait forever as well. They need to have more than one waiter on a Friday night and they need to pay attention to ALL theircustomers not just some. Read more

I ordered the smothered baked chicken with cabbage, red beans, & rice, along with a side of cornbread which was cold. The... cabbage red beans and rice was fine, on the other hand the smothered baked chicken wasn't actually baked, it looked boiled andthe gravy wasn't made from scratch it was very salty and over powering, disappetizing I must say! A true home cooked meal madefrom scratch would definitely be worth having what I had was not authentic. Read more

No joke nearly cried eating this. By far the best Soul food I?ve had and I?ve had quite a few. None comes nearly as close to the... taste this place has to offer. Not a single item that we got in this picture was lacking. Every single bite was an explosion offlavors and bliss. We are lucky to have such an amazing restaurant here! So much care is put into each item and you can telljust by the smell and perfected by the textures and taste. Massive compliments to the chef oh my god I still can?t get over howgood it is! We ate at Lee?s cafe for the first time few days ago as this was highly recommended by the group we followed on Facebook, Lbk... Foodie. We were very disappointed. My husband was served French fries instead of mashed potato he ordered. My spicy rice wasvery saucy which is not what I expected, so I place another order of white rice which took over 30 minutes to arrive and we werealready through eating. And to think we were the only customer at that time.. service was also poor. To top it off, for a billof $36, the lowest tip option is $15.. that?s around 41% of the total bill. ???? Smh! Not gonna recommend and not definitelycoming back. Read more
