I'm sorry but the reviews were misleading. Margaritas were juice and a little tequila, if any. Molcajete mix was supposed to be... HOT, I could touch the molcajete itself and it was barely warm. Shrimp was overcooked, rubbery. Not recommended at all. Wethought Mexican food is always safe and delicious no matter where one goes, but no, not this place. Read more
The Delicious hand crafted Margaritas; combined with a spacious floral courtyard will transport you to the tastes of El... Salvador. I had to stop myself from eating more than two of the fresh and cheesy pupusas. The staff was welcoming and warm. Agreat place to unwind on the lake! Read more

Wonderful service and great food at this Salvadorian/ Mexican restaurant. Patio seating is available and the space is homely and... inviting. Jeff, who helped us, was kind and patient. We ordered a selection of pupusas, tacos and a burrito - all were good. The pupusas were freshly made and came hot off the griddle, filled with cheese, spinach, zucchini, pork etc. The habanero sauceis a must try. Serving sizes are generous and the pricing reasonable for the location. Highly recommended. Read more
It's so fun to try a new cuisine! Sol i Mar offers Salvadorean, as well as Mexican, appetizers, entrees, seafood, dessert, beer,... wine, and beverages. We enjoyed the Pastelitos, Camarones a la Diabla (spicy, as promised!), Plantanos, a Modelo beer, and aMaracuya Agua Fresca. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and has a wide selection of dining areas: garden, covered patio,and indoor. The service was friendly, accommodating, and timely. After dinner, we strolled across the street to Lucerne's AlpinePark and watched the sun set over Clear Lake. Read more
Fabulous and highly creative menu. The cactus pupusas were fabulous. Vegetarians and meat eaters both will be happy ???? The... food was so good, portions more than we should have eaten (!) and the food was freshly made and excellent. I couldn?t believehow cheap the bill was at the end. The owners and waitress were so kind and personable. The ambiance inside and out make arelaxing and -leasing evening. My favorite restaurant by far in Lake County. Highly recommend!! Read more
