You need coffee and/or tea (fact). You need something tasty to nosh on (also, a fact). You need this deliciousness presented to... you by a smiling-friendly-face of person, who is enjoying themselves, and the others around them (this, too, is verifiable). Itis justifiable to have these needs; oddly coincidental to find them in one place. Highly recommend Cafe Wren. Read more

Overall the food was good and the atmosphere was bright and refreshing. It was an order at the counter kind of place which was... fine, but the staff forgot to bring out the soup so we had to go ask for it. They also put mayo on my sandwich when I asked forno mayo, so I just scraped it off instead of making a fuss since they told us they were short staffed and we didn?t really havea waitress. It seemed to be a popular place, lots of people coming and going. I?d go back and try the coffee next time. Read more

Awful customer experience. We dropped $50 on breakfast, drinks, ground coffee and bakery items. My 4 year old took 1 sip of... her hot chocolate and accidently dropped it and started sobbing and crying. When I asked if they would replace it, I was toldthat I can pay for another one. Really?!? After spending $50 and they cant replace a kids hot cocoa? It's awful. We aren'tlocal, but visit fairly often when we come to our cabin and we recommend to guests who stay. I'm taking cafe wren out of ourwelcome book recommendations and we will go up the road. Not good customer service to lose a customer over something as smallas that. Read more

Absolutely love Cafe Wren. Unique and delicious food, drinks, and sweets / pastries. My absolute favorite is the morning bun.... They also have local artists' work available. A wonderful atmosphere with a pastural view from the windows, or outside eatingarea. For Ice Age Trail Hikers, this a the best place to stop as you start your hike or almost finish, and you can camp outsidewith permission. Read more

Cafe Wren is my favorite place to stop when I?m hiking the Ice Age Trail in northwest Wisconsin. The coffee is great and so is... the food! Stephanie is a big supporter of the Gandy Dancer and hikers passing by, which is very much appreciated. Read more

Very cute cafe with amazing food and drinks. I'm hiking the Ice Age Trail at the moment and they let me camp on in the back... (make sure to call ahead for that). The owner, Stephanie, was incredibly nice and the staff was very skilled and nice as well. Also has a beautiful pergola in the back. If you're ever in the area, definitely check it out! Read more

We came through while backpacking on the ice age trail. Stephanie was amazing. We called ahead and asked if we could camp in... the yard and she set us up with a cooler with ice in it and cloths to wash our faces. She allowed us to ore order a fewbeverages, which were cold when we got there. She had a dog bowl out and left us a snack. The hose was available and she wassuper sweet to us. We stayed for a lovely breakfast and a chat and I will definitely visit this place again if I am in thearea. Small business worth supporting, as she supports outdoor enthusiasts and the local community. Read more
