We are regular customers at Scotty's. We have tried many of the entrees for dinner, and they have always been delicious. My... favorite is the prime rib. Prime rib is their house specialty and IS the BEST! My husband's favorites are either the steak orwhitefish. The service is excellent, with friendly staff. It is casual dining with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. They also areone of the few restaurants that will still make reservations. We wanted to plan a last minute celebratory dinner for our groupand the staff at Scotty's bent over backwards to make it happen. We highly recommend Scotty's for an enjoyable dining experiencefor two or a dinner for many! Read more
This is one of the worst restaurants we ever ate at. There was 6 of us and had various dinners. Only 1 out of 6 enjoyed their... dinner. Had to send perch back not cooked, prime rib and steaks had no taste and not cooked how specified, lobster tail was ajoke... hard and rubbery tasting lobster tail, and baked potatoes not cooked thoroughly. Received a $80 bill after complainingand waitresses taking food away with no discount after telling them of problems. Never ever will go back and do not recommendfor anyone! Read more

We've been year through the last 6/8 years maybe a dozen times. Most of the time it's pretty good to very good. Always had great... and friendly service. I was reading some of these reviews and had to chuckle. Anyone is free to order anything on the menu, butwhy would you order escargot (is Paris nearby) or lobster (is the ocean close?) Scotty's is two miles from one of the best freshwater lakes in the world. Why not order a "local" type fish? OK, fair enough, it was pretty darn cold in there and glad I had ajacket but the good food and service made up for it. Glad to see a mom and pop place still going strong in this day and age! My husband and I went in tonight for dinner, it was by far the worst dinner we've ever experienced. We are locals, I've never... been and wanted to try their Escargot. I saw there was a lot of good reviews and made me excited. Well jokes was on us. We spentover $100 for the two of us and the food was not tasteful. The escargot is served on canned spinach even. It was sodisappointing. The lobster tail honestly was the nastiest tasting lobster I've ever tried to stomach. I had one bite only, leftthe rest on my plate. The cocktail sauce was ketchup. The spinach and artichoke dip was mainly just warmed up cream cheese witha little spinach inside and shredded cheese on top. Horrible.. Every lemonade we were charged $4 each and every refill, now thatwouldn't be a bother if we were told or it was even on the menu, but it wasn't. We will literally never ever go back again. Iwould rather eat Doritos from between my uncleaned toes than ever try giving that place my service again. I would give it -5stars if possible. Way too over priced for terrible food. A classic restaurant. Decorated and an easy and relaxing manor. Nothing special really, but nothing wrong with it either. I... ordered The Apple Bacon Stuffed Chicken ($18). This is a Chicken Breast stuffed with bacon, Dried Cherries, and Fresh Apples.Sauteed in a Apple Brandy Sauce. It was simply Spectacular! Every part just worked together to make something greater than it'sparts. I chose a Baked potato as my side and is was excellent. Entrees come with Sweet Rolls. They were super soft and soyummy. The Service was slammed so a little slow. I understood though because a bunch of restaurants chose to close today(Tuesday). Otherwise very friendly and efficient. Overall an easy 5 star review. Our group dining experience, at Scotty?s, was excellent! Planning a family event, from out of state and over a holiday weekend,... was a challenge. Scotty?s not only accepted our request for a reservation, for a party of 20-25 guests, but provided group menuoptions and a customized menu that met our needs perfectly. We were seated in a semi-private dining area and Stephanie tookgreat care of us! We enjoyed cocktails, along with delicious appetizers, entrees and dessert! Everything was excellent!
