Visiting Lufkin on a work trip and have stopped here twice in a week.\n\nChicken is moist and full of flavor, brisket was moist... and fork tender. We had a cheeseburger and the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were excellent, as well as the sides and the delicious banana... pudding! The restaurant was very clean, as was the restroom. The staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommend! Read more
I ordered the Pit Burger plate. The burger was really good. Definitely smoked on a real wood fired pit, seasoned perfectly, and... a visible smoke ring on the burger. Will return when back in Lufkin to check out the other meats on their menu. Friendly folksand great customer service. Ended up visiting with the owners longer than I ate my lunch. Stopped by here after a long, long road trip and made the right choice stopping here. The ribs were HIGE and so tender that when... I tried to pick it up the bones feel out by themselves! Overall amazing and delicious. Everything was homemade and everyonethere was so kind. Try the banana pudding if you get the chance too. Read more
Great food. My wife ordered a burger and I ordered a loaded baked potato and it was LOADED, brisket, sausage butter, and spices.... Very good food. Only “tick” was it took a while to get our order in the drive thru. We will return to check out more of themenu.. Read more
Decided to try this place as I had never heard of it before and was going through Lufkin. Very nice friendly people own the... place and had a nice chat with us while we waited for our food. The ac seemed a little weak for the building and was slightlywarm in the building but they did have an extra fan pointed at the table. I got the brisket plate , mac and cheese, and bakedbeans. It was definitely a delicious meal. I will most definitely be stopping back by when I make my way back through lufkin! Read more
