VERY GOOD!!! Food was hot and done perfectly! Must try chicken and waffles, very large portion! The sauce was too spicy for my... liking because well I don?t do spicy. I used syrup but honestly it didn?t need anything! Sandwiches are good! Liked peach pieand apple bread pudding! Also the vegetarian sandwich is a nice option, my daughter gets this and likes it! This was our secondtime getting food from here and glad I gave it a second chance! The first time they were extremely busy and food was okay. Won't be coming back. It is absolutely ridiculous how we were given a tiny piece of chicken on oversized buns for $15 meal.... Imagine your typical Italian-American chicken breast pulverized into a piece of paper, and then coated in half an inch ofbreading. That is what this chicken sandwich is - except worse because then you end up eating a thin slice of chicken covered inbreading in between giant breads. Also keep in mind that the thin chicken is not even close to being the size of the bun. Beprepared to take a bite of bread all around the edges until you get to the breading of the chicken, before you may get a bite ofchicken. You're probably getting 80% bread in this sandwich. This is incomparable to the typical sandwich at Chick-fil-A and thecrispy chicken sandwich at McDonald's, both of which are significantly cheaper and better value than Colbie's. If there is anypositive with this place, it's the flavor. I got the Nashville hot and I enjoyed the flavor, just wished Nashville wasn't havinga chicken shortage. Read more
I had high hope but it?s Not worth the money. Almost $30 for a salad, a plain Jane(not the combo that was like $4 more) and a... spinner. Definitely can get much better food for half the price anywhere else. I would give 2 stars but $12 salad my boyfriendgot, he was happy with, the southern spice with grilled chicken. But again 3 things for $30 is crazy. The salad pictured, he hadalready dug into. The bowl was full Update 2/25/22 I decided to try again and it was much better this time. I got the Chegger,fries and a sweet tea combo and a Reece?s spinner All very good. Still was way to expensive but more worth it than the firsttime. I would go back for the chegger. I?m usually a fan of Colbies and I love they?re breaded chicken but today I ordered the grilled chicken on a Caesar salad($13.33... with tax) and was not satisfied. I stumbled upon this place in Newark, DE. And there, they're right next to a Royal Farms. I was in a hurry but wanted to spend... time and give them a try. I noticed there was a location in My. Holly, NJ so I went there. We got the Big Piece and NashvilleHot sandwiches and a regular and sweet potato fries with the peach pie spooners for dessert. I was impressed. I truly don?t understand the negative reviews. This isn?t McDonald?s so yes it?s going to be slightly and I mean slightly more... expensive but so worth it. The portions are way bigger than McDonald?s so for the title of fast food is well deserved. I got myfood before I sat down. Please don?t be fooled by those that say portion sizes are small. I?m giving a comparison to a majorfast food chain which is McDonald?s because everyone knows this place. Compared to them, this is 10x better. Kind of like chickfil A but with more flavor. 3.5 stars. The food that we had tasted good. However, it was not a great value at all. It felt way too expensive for fast food.... Portions were small and both of us were hungry after our meals. Food was also cold. Aside from the price and the temperature,some of the food was actually quite tasty. I loved the chicken sandwich and it?s one of the better ones on the market. Breadingwas perfection and chicken was juicy. Loved the garlic aioli. The chicken tenders were okay, but small and heavily breaded. Macand cheese was delicious! Creamy and had a bite of sharp cheddar. The sweet potato fries were soggy and a disappointment,especially with the way too sweet marshmallow dip. Read more
Worth trying yourself! I stopped by after passing this sonmany times. I even saw someone do a review on TikTok. Don?t listen to... the negative reviews below and judge for yourself. I enjoyed my meal, the atmosphere and kind employees. There?s lots of spaceand SO MANY menu items to choose from. I had the Big Piece sandwich, sweet potato fried (covered in cinamon sugar) and nakednuggets with their buffalo sauce. The only thing I wasn?t too fond of was the naked nuggets which were not fresh, rubbery anddry. The sandwich was delivious as well as the sweet potato fries. Highly recommend trying for yourself.
