I tried to give this place a few chances but I'm done. I've ordered large pizzas from here on 2 occasions and they were... over-cooked. Then, the last straw, I ordered a sandwich and Brisk iced tea. The iced tea tasted it funny. I looked at the bottleand the expiration date was July 11, 2022. The day I bought it was July 30, 2022. So not only was I getting over-cooked pizzabut I got an expired drink as well. My business with them is done! Read more
I call the restaurant and I wasn't quite ready to order because I hadn't viewed the menu as of yet. The woman who answered the... phone was extremely courteous and when I told her I would call her back after I knew what I want she told me that she wouldhold. Great customer service! I share only an honest opinion here as I am a foody as well as heavily experienced in the Italian resteraunt world. While it's... hard to mess up breaded shrimp and prepackaged cocktail sauce it's definitely not hard to make pizza terrible. The pie I hadmade fresh was nothing but tasteless garbage. Honestly microwaved it tasted better. Dough put on screens and cast into aconveyer belt will never yield a taste as good as fresh put the walk in tossed and laden with homemade sauce . This being saidthe people are nice but that's about all your getting from this under the mill pizza place. Prices are cheap because the tasteis cheap. We order from Nick's often enough. There is a shortage of decent pizza spots in Lumberton and Nick's s always good. We usually... order a thin crust cheese pizza and it is spot on. The sauce isn't super sweet, and they get the crust nice and crispy withoutburning the cheese. Their kids menu options are excellent for our kindergartener, he loves chicken fingers!The salads areanother go to choice. The Mediterranean salad and Antipasto are 2 of my favorites. We have ordered subs there also and theyare decent. Mostly, we get it delivered and its usually delivered reasonably quickly. When we do pickup, the workers are seempretty pleasant . We took a chance on a new place for lunch. We ordered simple BLT Clubs. One club was made correctly. The Other came without... lettuce or tomato. When I called the man who answered didn't even apologize or offer to send me a new one and simply chalked itup to "we made a mistake" and if I wanted a refund to call Grub Hub.
