This review is just for the deli, we never stayed in the Inn. Their food was mouthwatering, deliciousness. We went for lunch and... had their seafood chowder that was a perfect combination of creamy and seafood portions. It was so good we went back for dinnerand had the calamari, scallop linguine, and salmon risotto. I was blown away, everything cooked to perfection and packed full offlavour. Highly recommend to make this a stop if you're in Lunenburg. Read more
July 2022 review of our experience at the Salt Shaker Deli. They didn't take reservations but would take your name at the door.... There was a fairly long late so they accommodated us by providing a couple of chairs at the bar! Good selection of beers (wegot to see them up close!) and the food was great, too. Had lunch during a very busy summer day. We really appreciated the fact that they took our phone number to call us when a table... was available. The daily special was a cup of seafood chowder and half lobster roll. The chowder was full of seafood cookedperfectly and very tasty. The half lobster roll was a good size and really good too. Since it was the daily special, it wasreally affordsble. I would say they were the best we?ve had during our stay in Nova Scotia. Read more
This place was bumping & for very good reason! I was traveling with my family from Pittsburgh to Nova Scotia & happened upon... this true gem overlooking the water. The atmosphere is chill & welcoming & makes you feel like you're in a true boating town.The wait staff was incredibly helpful, upbeat, & attentive! The food was AMAZING! Everything was fresh & tasted true "chef'skiss!" There was not one thing we didn't like. We had smoked salmon, lobster rolls, club sandwich, & seasonal desserts! AwesomePlaylist too! We got there around lunch. It was line up in a every restaurant. These guys sit us right away at first in the front but I asked... them if we can move to the back and the owner moved us as soon as space was available. The food was great and service was reallygood too but it took 40 to 50 min before we even get our appetizers. Just don?t go in if you are starving or order right away.We don?t drink alcohol and this place had really good non alcoholic beer which I really appreciate that. Shared a few appetizers (mussels, calamari, brushetta and the lobster dip) and everything was absolutely delicious! Our waiter... was a younger guy and on his game! Checked in just enough that we knew he was keeping an eye but were still able to enjoy foodand conversation. Would happily go back to have something again or try something new. Location is really good. They have an outdoor seating option with an amazing view of golf club and ocean. I didn't like the... taste much but happy with the overall service. It seems usually people have to wait to get the table but we got in 5 minutes. Read more
Definitely the best seafood pizza I've eaten in my life. Absolutely good. The service was slow however, it seems this place is a... bit too popular for the number of employees there. I'd recommend going either at 5 or 8 pm, there is a waitlist in peak hours. Read more
