Just had lunch here. It was delicious. Had seafood platter, hamburger steak, shrimp platter, and salad bar. Food was... wonderful, the staff were sweet and so much fun. We laughed and enjoyed a fun break in our travels. Highly recommend thisrestaurant! Read more
It's a shabby little place with seriously underwhelming food. Folks were certainly nice enough but it's not what I'm looking for... for breakfast/brunch. If you want simple fare for a relatively cheap price, go ahead. But I think there are better options afew miles away. Read more
Was one of my favorite places to go when up near the mountains. The staff was kind to us yet I didn?t want breakfast so I waited... for lunch. I sat for almost an hour for lunch buffet to come out and it was supposed to come out at 11. But due to all theorders- the staff wasn?t able to get the lunch buffet out on time. Lunch buffet used to be cheaper- it?s now $18 a person and itmade sense no one wanted the buffet and rather order off the menu something for $8-$9 each. The food is good don?t get me wrongbut if you want the buffet come little after 11 and the buffet will be ready. With rising costs I get the prices. Just littledisappointed at this visit. And reading some of the reviews I am alittle taken back at the responses from the experience. Takeit as a way to better things - not everyone is trying to hurt a business. Read more
The staff was less than welcoming. It seemed to be a bother that we showed up and wanted service. When we arrived they told us... to look at the salad bar and buffet. When it was time to order they told us the salad bar was not available to order. Weattempted to be nice, maybe the waitress was having a bad day, but that made no difference. Our family was looking for a place for dinner after a day at the Luray Caverns, found this adorable restaurant with a Google... search, and we are so glad we stopped. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The menu had something for everyone and it had adinner buffet. I decided to go for the special of the night, Meatloaf, which I had with mashed potatoes and gravy and countrygreen beans. Sometimes, while on vacation, if you just need some real food, then this is your place! I finished off the mealwith some homemade peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Outstanding! Staff is very helpful and kind. Cabins are beautiful with a great view of the brook. Inside the cabin you feel like... you are in a luxury hotel. It is a great getaway for a little relaxation, a stop along a trip or even a honeymoon. Very private.Rooms are impeccably clean. If you need anything the staff is very accommodating. Can't speak to the restaurant because it wasclosed the days I was there but I recommend the cabins without reservation. Five star for sure. Read more
After 7 years together, we up and eloped yesterday. ???? We stayed at cabin#9 last night. The lady on the phone was wonderful.... She managed to set us up with entry even though we would be late arriving. It was in the details, for me. ???? They left a lighton for us, had the fireplace stoked. The jacuzzi tub was huge and relaxing. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean. Theyeven had little hearts carved in the woodwork. The cabin is both adorable and beautiful. You can see the thought and detail Theyput into their place and each of their guests and it is incredibly appreciated!!! We will absolutely be back and I was trulyimpressed. This isn't a chain owned operation. They genuinely care and put their hard work, dedication, heart and pride intowhat they do here. There is a notice that if you smoke inside there will be a $250 fine which I can understand because they haveto take a gamble on each and every person they rent to and that means there are people who disrespect their rules, hard work andproperty. Don't be one of those people. The interior and exterior is immaculately kept, beautiful brook that runs behind and litup, decorated beautifully for the season... it was decked out for Christmas already on 12/2. Truly impressed and will definitelybe a repeat customer. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond.
