Great for a quick bite that you'll enjoy and want to come back for more. Stopped in while in town and had a nice experience. We... were seated promptly and orders taken. The onion rings were really really good. Added some to my burger to make it even better.The burger meat was tasty and the bun was soft and fresh. The meal was an amazing deal for the price we paid. Needed a place for lunch and decided to stop in to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The water tasted a little odd,... maybe it was just tap water. However, the cheesesteak and coleslaw were pretty good and the fries were tasty. The chicken parmsandwich and burger looked great as well. The food took a little bit to arrive, and the cheesesteak was a bit small, but overallI was glad we stopped here. Read more
I wish this wasn't nearly two hours from me but I will eat here the very next chance I get. The atmosphere is lovely and... comfortable, it was quite busy for a late lunch on a Thursday and our waitress and the chef were both very helpful, friendlyand kind. My burger was cooked to perfection and although it was from the "kids menu" it was the perfect size and didn't suffera bit in quality or care. I try not to write negative reviews but I don't write positive ones lightly either. If you get achance, eat here, you won't regret it. Also the coffee was great and really hit the spot. Wonderful restaurant and bar. If you go to Luray We highly recommend at least one stop in the Ollie Cat. Our waitress was... telling us the specials of the day. New Orleans stew is on the menu today. Stop her to ask what was in it. Crawfish, shrimp alittle of this a little of that. Well we told her we were from NOLA and never heard of this. She brought us a sample to taste.Very good flavor, nice mix of ingredients. We talked to the chef/owner and his wife who said they had been down to NOLA a fewyears ago and had a great time. Quaint little family owned restaurant with very good food. Tables are not uniform which gives it a unique feel. We sat at one... of the larger tables which could seat eight comfortably. Cheese curds are from Wisconsin and we're really good. Our childrensaid the chicken tenders have been the best that they've had on our trip. The owners were friendly as well as the waitress. Wecame during an off peak time, so it wasn't busy at all. Pricing of the food here was very reasonable. Read more
Loved it when it first opened, owners are friendly. However, the 2nd to last time I had MAJOR issues with the food(told owners... and they said they would look into it but never heard back). This last time I decided to try there again and got the burger anda salad and the fried cheese curds(those are terrific). They forgot items off of the order(to go order) but the worst was thatthe burger was raw in the center. I called to let them know and they were very polite and offered to fix. Will give them anothertry, just check burger temps(flavor is very good). Read more
I?d give this place 3.5 stars. They?re a cute little place in a tourist town and the staff was so friendly. The French onion... soup was definitely not for me. It had an extremely burnt flavor but perhaps that?s just how it is made. We got the vegetarianlinguine and it was a bit dry there was no cheese in it. The shrimp skewers and fries were good.
