This evening was the first time I tried the food. I heard good and I have heard bad. At my point the meat pork chop and wings... very good, the salmon cake to much breading no flavor like green peppers and onions and the collard greens okay have like sweetand kick to it. Potato salad is nasty. They should let ppl known the potato salad has eggs in it switch me being in medical pplare ALLERGIC to eggs. Not too good. Looking for a breakfast spot before heading back to D.C and we found this spot. We were so glad we did because the food was... amazing! Great prices for the amount of flavor in the food and portions. I don't understand how this place isn't more popular. The food is great and the ladies that run the place are kind and... welcoming. I kill the salmon cakes every time we go. The side of breakfast potatoes is ridiculous. I would eat an entire meal ofthose things. I have not had something from here I haven't liked. Greens? Bomb! Pancake? Great! Drove from Lexington Park to try the food because of the reviews and they truly live up to it. The food was so good. The... chicken, cornbread , potato salad and greens were AWESOME. The half and half was also on point. This will most definitely be mygo to place when I need some southern comfort food. Update: Went yesterday, 11 May, this time with my 2 sisters and my littlenephew. The food was on point. We ate in and the atmosphere was great. The lady behind the counter was very nice as always. The best bang for your buck! I had the most delicious french toast and sausage breakfast which the staff shared was all made... from scratch and my friend had one of the breakfast sandwiches (which I had a bite of) and everything was delicious. The staffwas knowledge and informative about the food and how everything was made. I only was sad to have come in too late and missed thescrapple for the day! Affordable and delicious! We just had breakfast here and we were underwhelmed. We were the only people in the restaurant and our order took close to 10... minutes. Food wasn?t bad it was little things like no salt and pepper on the tables, no butter on the pancakes. All and all itwas just a strange breakfast. Read more
