We went for the first time on a Tuesday night because we had heard about the long waits on the weekend. While we weren't in a... hurry and didn't really have anyplace else to be it still took 56 minutes to get our half a bird and two sides. It was funwatching the big tvs and the kids play Barbies on the stage. Fried chicken was very well seasoned and tasted great but on thesmall side and the Spicy Shack Mac was great! If you've got plenty of time and great company, go try it out. Read more

I have been bamboozled. As busy as this place was on a Wednesday night and alllll the food reviews I just KNEW I was about to... eat a culinary delight. Somebody is lying about how good this place is! ???? or maybe ppl haven?t had good chicken. SMH Thereare other comments I?d make about our experience but I will stick to the food. We got a 10 piece and 3 strip with side of fries. Also a side of onion rings. Where do I even start? Wings were tasteless. No salt or pepper even thought about touching thesethings. We asked for garlic parmesan and got honey mustard. Asked three different server for the correct sauce. One finally toldus they were out. ok, fine. Our poor server had a big top table and was soo busy. He was very nice tho. Chicken strips were thesame?. Zero seasoning?. Maybe we were supposed to just use the sauce we couldn?t get. Idk Fries were the only thing wortheating. Onion rings were very disappointing. They were just freezer food and came out cold. We paid $50 for the worst friedchicken experience I?ve ever had in my 42 years of life. I?m not sure if my taste buds are just subpar based on everyone else?senjoyment of the food here, but I will never return, or recommend this place to anyone! The only reason I even got to go boxesbecause I paid so much for it and I plan on going home and trying to doctor up. Meanwhile, we?re going to run into Edmond andfind something for dinner. Also, the manager was rude and almost acted like we were going to walk out without paying. Even ifthat were warranted, the way he acted towards us was disheartening and unnecessary. The outside scenery and tables and eatingspaces were kind of cool. But that was about it. #GetOutVibes Read more

Lovely locally owned restaurant. Chicken shack is all about fried chicken and ambience. I took my cousin that was visiting from... out of town and he was able to see and taste a very Oklahoma restaurant. The menu is easy. We ordered a whole fried chicken withwedges. It was crunchy and perfectly juicy. The ambience was my favorite, it is a country style place with elements of rock androll and biker vibes. They have live music and a bar and an outdoor area with a truck for service during the warm months. Can'twait to go back! Read more

Looking for a southern fried chicken experience off the road to Tulsa. Overlay restaurants on Google map and saw the great... reviews of the Chicken Shack. So we took a detour to old rt 66. What a find. Ordered the whole fried chicken with okra andfries through an order window. The place looked like a shack attached to a working gas station. The food was brought outsidein an aluminium turkey pan filled with food. The chicken was perfectly fried, juicy and tasty, so was the okra. It was nearsunset and warm so we ate outside on an old cable spool table. Neighbors came by telling us we could eat inside. After eatingoutside we went inside to the bathroom. The inside was huge, an old barn with dirt floors and a performance stage. If you arenear Luther take the time to visit this place. Read more

Fantastic pork chops and chicken gravy mashed potatoes. It looks like a hole in the wall with gravel floors but don't let that... discourage you. It's great!!! We always stop here when we travel from OKC to Tulsa. Read more

So MANY cars where are all the people!?... This place is massive! No line and the front counter staff was patient as we decided.... You can also place order at the bar in the back. I could see this being a busy time on a Friday night but not at 5pm....... Gotseated. A little dust on the chairs and table were no problem for us. Paper towels on the table helped. (Gravel floor) Thekitchen staff and bar help took great care of us. All the food came out tasty and hot! Our order had chicken tenders, fries, jalapeno Mac and cheese, jalapeno corn bread, fried half chicken, okra, mashed potatoes. The chicken gravy is sodecadent!!!!!!!!!!! 10 wings just for me (teriyaki) We had leftovers and I am Pleased with the portion and the jam packedflavors of all the food. The food came out relatively quick considering the pending busy night. Bar staff got me taken care ofas I ordered a beer once I took the short tour of the restaurant. Thank you for being awesome bar tender - she made the visitmore enjoyable...cold beer she poured -oh so yummy. If in the area in the future we will definitely visit again. They should allbe commended!!! Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma Read more
