We ordered a bunch of different things and shared. Ginger salads, pork egg roll, chicken on a stick, apple sticks, crab claws,... tempura sweet potato, crab rangoons, black boba tea, and sesame and orange chicken lunch specials. The salads, chicken on astick, sweet potatos, boba, and rangoons were phenomenal. The egg roll and lunch specials were just okay - the fried rice is theyellow kind and a bit bland. The apple sticks smelled good, but had little filling or taste. The crab claws were unanimously notcared for. To speak to previous reviews for bad customer service - that wasn't the case for us. We made a mistake on the GrubHuborder and the woman I spoke to when I called to see if it could be corrected was very nice and accommodating. :) Read more

Just moved into the 'hood and looking for takeout the night before Turkey Day. Read some of the reviews--typically all over the... map. Solid Japanese/Chinese takeout. The Bento Box (shrimp) was outstanding. My wife ordered the crispy crab claws. Not surewhy, but I thought I'd be doing the "cracking thing" ala lobster like where we're from in New England. Instead, crab meat wasremoved from the claw, breaded, and deep fried. Excellent! The Yummy Sauce is indeed, yummy! The Jumbo Shrimp Hibachi wassolid, with the friend rice definitely imbued with hibachi flavoring. Portions are large, so you'll have leftovers, forsure. Will definitely do take out at Mikada Express again. Read more

It’s important to know this is primarily a takeout spot. There’s a small seating area but it would be cramped with more than... two people. I’ve had takeout from here a few times and it’s solid American style Chinese food. Two positives that are worthpointing out - the bento box is a good value and to my knowledge the only Chinese takeout spot that offers a similar varietypack. Also the portions are HUGE. I ordered the lunch sized sesame chicken and it was enough food for two servings. Read more

The food was alright, not very hot, lukewarm at best. The steak was very thin and I only had 4 small pieces. I did order extra... shrimp and yum yum sauce. I was pleased with that. The shrimp roll was very good. I may try something different next timethough. Read more

I decided to go with 4 stars because of presentation alone. The taste of the food is a 3.5 at best but they not only got my... delivery order right, everything looked amazing (minus the gy?za because the green is just weird). Both the gy?za and shrimpshumai were really hard but the inside of the shumai was good. I didn't care for the taste of the gy?za or egg rolls (which wereincredibly small), but the rest of the food was decent. If everything had a bit more flavor it would have been absolutelyperfect. However, while it all looks amazing, it just tastes alright. I did really like the cream cheese wonton though. Thosewere my favorite. Read more

This place is like a junk drawer: you're in a small space wondering how that got there and why. There's a counter space with a... couple of chairs, a tiny yard sale in the corner and snacks for sale on a table with a cushioned/taped up corner, I'm assumingbecause it was sharp and people kept running into it. Also, like similar restaurants in the area, lots of homemade signs affixedto the walls and counters with Scotch tape. Plus a homemade open side out front. These quirky types of things bring me greatjoy and I was tempted to point to the yard sale and exclaim,"What's your best price for all of it?" I started with sushi: thesimple salmon roll and something called a Boston roll, which I've never heard of. In case you're a person like myself who yearnsfor random knowledge that may only every help them on Jeopardy, here's the definition: A Boston roll is a simple Eastern UnitedStates adaption that pays respect to the Japanese roots and celebrates the Boston-style seafood. The substitution of imitationcrabmeat with poached shrimp is also appealing to the farming enthusiasts who prefer using other seafood instead of endangeredfish to create rolls. It had lettuce instead of avocado and something called "Japanese Mayo" which is essentially creamy, spicymayo. It wasn't horrible, but I'd probably pass again. The salmon roll was moist and had flavor, so that was a win. Then Iordered (to go for later) the lo mein (just the noodles--I know it's impossible to believe, but I've never had lo mein), sesamechicken, avocado bubble tea, and tempura sweet potato, which I've never seen. The sesame chicken was subpar. The yellow/orangerice didn't have a decent texture or flavor. The lo mein was good, and I'm excited to try it again and a nice establishment. Thetempura sweet potatoes weren't bad, but had only a mild flavor of sweet potato. The bubble tea was so bad I tasted it and threwit out. It was like you bought some cheap powder at a convenience store, mixed it wi Read more
