Great food, great service. We go twice a month. Jen and Anthony are top-notch servers with great attitudes. We always give the... busser a little cash for Christmas. He is such a hard-working, humble man. Most people never think about the people behind thelines. If your food was great, send a few $$ to the kitchen. Love this home style southern resturant. OH MY GOODNESS!!! This chicken was the bomb. It was so crispy and so juicy and served piping hot. Mashed potatoes and cream... gravy were delicious and my daughter in law said the fried chicken livers were out of this world good. Wish I live closer,?cause I be there all the time!! Read more
The service the other day was so great so friendly and the time before the food was good. Today not so much. In fact really not.... The country fried steak is full of grit. Couldn?t eat it. The waitress was going to take it off my bill and said the manager wasnowhere to be found and she felt bad because she couldn?t take it off my bill. The food was OK. Environment is nice. I ordered chicken and dumplings. When I received it, there was no chicken in it. There... was, perhaps, a few hair like strands of chicken. When I brought this up to the waitress she told me that is how they serve itnow because of costs. I paid for dumplings with no protein. It took ages to get the bread and drinks and they weren?t busy atall. I had to mention my daughter?s bread numerous times. She brought them to us in a to go box. That was our cue to leave. Read more
I have never had a bad experience at Po Folks..that is until last night. We.(3 of us) were seated quickly and gave our drink as... well as our food orders. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. I watched at least three tables/ booths (people seated AFTER wewere) place their orders and get their food. Our waitress never came to check on us. Finally I asked another worker to get ourwaitress. When she finally came, we explained the problem. Ten minutes later we got our food. Most of it was room temperature. The pork chop was not cooked as ordered. Waitress took it back and the replacement came after everyone was finished eating. Theywere not short staffed as there were numerous workers. I hadn?t even seen a Po Folks in like 25 years. We just moved to Panama City and we were thrilled to find the Lynn Haven... location. I had the Po Plate (veggies) and it was all amazing! The fried green tomatoes were excellent and the Mac and cheesewas silky perfection! My husband had Country Fried Steak and it was tender enough to cut with a fork. Best meal I?ve hadanywhere in a VERY long time! Will definitely be regulars!!! Read more

Food was just ok however our server was nice and attentive. Although this is a sit down restaurant, it took more than 35 minutes... to receive two meals (burger and then chicken tenders). Also the gravel parking lot is most difficult to walk on, it is easy tostumble or slide along the rocks (I found it to be a big problem for anyone with a walking disability). I also think morehandicapped parking should be made available. Read more
