My husband and I ate lunch there today in Lyons. I had Carolina pulled pork, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. He had fried... catfish and said it was the best since leaving GA. The fries were awesome. Pork was great. Service great. They brought our BGher own water bowl. We will go back. Read more

So, let's talk about the pecan pie. Now, you might be asking, "Why is he not talking about the BBQ"? We will! However, I must... say, this pecan pie is probably the best pecan pie I have ever had in my life. I have had lots of pecan pie in my lifetime andcan honestly say this is top notch. Okay, so now the BBQ! Brisket - solid! Pulled pork - solid! The green beans were fresh, soabove average, but not stellar. The spiced cinnamon apples were very good. Baked beans were also good. Fried pickle spears weresuperb, however, because of the breading, they can be hard to eat so may be best to cut and fork these bad boys otherwise youmight loose your pickle! The one weak link unfortunately for me and most my family was the Mac and cheese. It could have been abad day but the cheese was very very thin. Typically I go for a more thicker cheese. Now, this isn't all to bad as you can usethat cheese sauce as a dip or something with extra meat and or starch. Overall I would come back everytime I wonder throughthis area. A great place to try for any bbq lover.... Or... A MUST try for any pecan pie lover. Read more

Good food, good prices...our waitress was very friendly and professional...unfortunately, the person who was the host of the... place definitely gave me a very bad impression...he complained that Why didn't we call earlier..because he had to "do" the setupand he need time to move two tables and eight chairs... a pity that such a good restaurant has people like this host. First of all our waitress wasn?t very friendly. Not sure why, maybe just having a bad day? We got there around 11:30 am for... lunch and the place wasn?t busy. Decided to order the two meat platter which comes with two sides and cornbread. We split theorder between two people. We ordered the pulled pork and beef brisket and they were served stone cold. I asked the waitress ifthat was normal and she said she could heat it up. Okay. Came back at about room temperature. The brisket was so tuff youcould barely cut it with a knife and it didn?t have any flavor, certainly not BBQ/smoked of any kind. The pulled pork was thesame, no flavor and was mushy. They also charged us a $2.00 up charge for the brisket. Really?? I missed that on the menu, sobe aware. Coleslaw wasn?t like anything I?d ever tasted before, and hopefully never taste again. Baked beans were okay, atleast they were hot. My advice would be to skip this place and try something else. Our supposedly $19, two meat platter andtwo ice teas ended up costing $34.71, with tax. We?ll never go back. I have reviewed over 492 places on Google and always givemy honest opinion. Read more

Ordered a smokin philly, good sweet potato fries, sandwich roll, and friendly staff, not so good undercooked onions & peppers,... and brisket that was not cut across the grain leading to a chewy experience. Average meal, but experience was pleasant Read more

I?m not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best culinary experiences of my entire life! My brother and I had just... finished hiking Longs Peak and split the ?Not so Tiny Wahine? meal which was the size of a trash can lid and loaded with food. The meats were excellent and the sides and cornbread was about the best I?ve ever had at any restaurant - real, sautéed greenbeans, a pile of well cooked sweet potato fries, tasty potato salad, and some cinnamon apples to top it off. Not to mention highquality real buttermilk ranch dressing. Despite our hunger and the quality of the meal we failed to get close to finishing themonstrous meal which was only $38!! I?ll be back the next time I?m in the area Read more
