Fall brings annual trip to M.I. for a few days. We have visited many of the food establishments over the years and Great Turtle... is new, so we visited tonight. Staff was friendly, hard surfaces in the room make noise, talking to our table of 6 nearlyimpossible. One large group left and made it a little easier. Order the tacos and ask for a variety of brisket, chicken andpork. That was a form no. One of the attractive sides was home made chips. Ended up with brisket tacos. Brisket was okay, chipswere definitely not homemade. Wouldn?t consider this an out of the park experience. Read more
Stopped in for lunch one day on the island. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is pretty good and the service is... speedy fast. Definitely a good tourist restaurant if you're visiting the island - it's right on the main strip. Read more
We had dinner there on a Sunday night. Not crowded at all. I had half roasted chicken, and my partner had chicken wild rice soup... and meat loaf as entree. My chicken was a bit dry. It came out about 15 minutes after we ordered, so I am sure it's precookedand heated up. I know restaurant cannot possibly roast a chicken from scratch for customers because it would take too long.Still, I had good & moist roasted chicken in other restaurants. Note to the owner: using Google Maps listed number to call gota recording saying that it's not in service. Google search and website also have invalid number. My wife and I ate here for dinner on Mackinac Island. It is expensive but the food was pretty good. They have a small menu, but... a good variety. Their drinks are very small though. My wife and I ordered cocktails and they were in very small glasses. Iordered the tacos and my wife ordered a burger. Not too shabby. Read more
We stopped in here for lunch. We were there on a Thursday and it wasn't super busy, we were seated promptly. Our server was new,... but did a good job and was attentive. I ordered the roasted beet chickpea burger and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. I was happythey had a vegetarian burger that wasn't your standard boring black bean burger. It was very delicious! I liked the pretzel bun.The Brussels were good also. My husband had the exorbitantly priced brewery fish and chips which was a whopping $38. It was alarge portion and he said it was excellent, but seemed a bit pricey for lunch, maybe they should consider a smaller, lessexpensive lunch portion. I wish they had side options besides chips, fries or raw veggies. Like a veggie medley or broccoli. Delicious food and delicious drinks as well! The cocktail flight was AMAZING as was the beer. I had the pork tacos and my... husband had a beer cheese and bacon burger all of which was very good. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed watching the view ofthe Main Street area. Service was very good and we really enjoyed the experience. I recommend checking them out! They alsohave a nice store where you can buy some beer to go in single can or I believe a 4 pack from what I can remember. Read more
Great Turtle Brewery and Distillery worked out for us for dinner. We were shunted to the deck because we had a service dog. The... downside was another dog that was dog aggressive. The upside was not being in the quite noisy inside room. Interesting menu.Food delivered in lightning fast speed. The heaters on the deck helped keep us warm. However, people yelling at others on thestreet a bit distracting. Service attentive. Read more
