This is definitely a hidden gem! We have visited multiple places on the island, all very good, but this is our favorite! I... absolutely loved their spinach salad and baby back ribs! They also have great sides...the potatoe/egg salad is a must. Myhusband had the combo which he enjoyed, but his absolute favorite is the beef brisket tacos with fries! We came here quite a few times while staying at the Island House. The outdoor dining was nice, but the service was awful. The... employees were very nice but disinterested, and the kitchen was so slow even though it wasn?t busy. VERY slow to get drinks aswell. The food was fine but nothing special for the price. The drinks were very small and expensive. I will say, the choppedsalad with pork belly was amazing and the homemade chips are delicious too! With a more lively, passionate staff (wait andkitchen) the place would be much better! Read more
I've been on island for months. Somehow I never knew about this place. The food and the service were both excellent. Great... outdoor atmosphere. I usually feel awkward eating alone. Didn't feel that way eating outside today. Had a great meal and read abook while getting some sun. I'll definitely be going back. Read more
Option to dine outside under umbrellas, outside in shade under tent, or indoors. Server was cheerful. I tried the baby back ribs... and they were great! Maybe a little more dry than I'm used to, but they had a smokey taste and lots of meat on them to make upfor it. I think a half-rack is plenty for lunch here, and this place has reasonable prices compared to other Mackinac Islandrestaurants with ribs, definitely. Good lunch option if you like BBQ! Read more
We stopped here for lunch recommended by a local resident. We both had brisket. My wife had brisket in a basket which was a... brisket sandwich on hard roll with homemade chips and coleslaw. Amazing. My brisket meal was delicious. Read more
