Nice quiet comfortable restaurant. The service was excellent the atmosphere was layed back and friendly. The food was okay, it... wasn't the greatest but it wasn't the worst but it was very pricey. I talked to a local and after swapping stories about his bad experience at woods restaurant and about his personal favorite spot... my wife and I immediately went to the Yankee Rebel for his recommendation and what soon became an eye opener. I'll tell you Ican cook an amazing pot roast but nothing as delicate and tender as this fabulous spot. The title famous is well deserved and Iwill spend many, many, many roasts trying to duplicate this recipe. I wasn't even hungry and I ate the entire full portion andthen drank the broth. Absolutely amazing and the root beer was a great sweet treat to wash it down. Stop in and get yourself agame changing meal and order the famous pot roast. Read more
Stopped by for a late lunch. Didn't want too much so ordered a Summer Orchard Salad adding grilled chicken. Portion was perfect... for one person. Greens were fresh, cherries and apples also. Overall, Salad was tasty but they missed adding the walnuts andpears. My companion ordered soup and Caesar salad. It was perfect. Read more
We were very happy with our food here! It was the best food we had on this trip north. I had the spinach artichoke dip and it... was fantastic! It's the best spinach dip I've ever had. My husband had the cowboy burger and enjoyed that very much. Our waiter,Austin, was very friendly and answered our various questions about the area. Also, we only had to wait a few minutes for a tableversus an hour (or more) wait at a restaurant on the main road. Read more

This is the restaurant to come to! The staff were very inviting and the food was absolutely amazing!!! Out of all restaurants I... tried while here this is my favorite. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the island ! I had the nightly special (salmon withshrimp and lobster butter sauce) it was the best salmon I have had! And the presentation was phenomenal! Wonderful welcoming tavern, warm comfy ambience. Excellent hearty fare. Atlantic Salmon in Balsamic glaze sone of the best I?ve... ever had. Great staff. Place was full all night but never felt too crowded or loud?just happy. Nice bar, always full. Read more
