Driving across the country, through Nebraska, the Dakotas, and the lake states, it was great to finally come across a brewery... that specializes in strongly flavored brown ales and intense stouts that aren't sweet. Our flight of five beers here was great! Especially: the Cognac barrel-aged version of their Jacob's Farmhouse Ale; Reciprocal Love, a barrel-aged brown brewed withdried fruits; and Winnie-the-Bulldog Imperial Stout. Interestingly enough, given their dark beer excellence, their best sellingbeer is their Blueberry Wheat, but even here, they do it right by adding the mashed blueberries *before* fermentation, ratherthan merely adding fruit extract to already-brewed lagers (like a lot of trendy breweries); it gives their Blueberry Wheat amore sophisticated flavor. Food-wise, I wish we had ordered something other than their "Tomato Basil" pizza; I'm sure theirother pizza flavors are better. Read more

What a cute brewery. The beers are really good and the atmosphere is even better. The live band we saw on Friday, Jon... Archambault Band, were beyond good. We even got to see the fireworks that the city puts on. Read more

Awesome brewery on the south side of the Mackinac Bridge. Outside seating area. Dogs welcome outside too.

Really like this place! The service was amazing and the guy working had been there all day and actually brews the beer. Although... it may have been a long day for him he was still nice and informational. They have flights for both inside and outside but noglass outside. Highly recommend you check this place out if brewerys are something your into! Read more

There was a food truck serving Korean last time I was there. I forget what it was called, but it was fairly priced and... delicious. Brought it inside, enjoyed some very tasty beer. There is a nice outdoor area as well. Far enough away from all thehubbub and nonsense that is Mackinaw City. Definitely not cheap by any means, but sure beats all the tourist traps on the stripas far as experiences go. Read more

The trip slightly out of downtown is way worth it. The beer is excellent, shout out blueberry wheat and fluer de Mac, and the... pizza was great. Super cute beer garden space as well! Read more

This place has been on my list for quite a while, and I really wanted to love it. However, when this was given to me for a 12oz... beer (which I clarified since it didn't look right), for $6, I was disappointed. The cup on the left is the "12 oz cup" givento me and I poured a 12oz beer of my own into it, and the but on the right is the overflow that didn't fit. I think I got theFleur De Mac, which was pretty good though.... Oh, they didn't have food when I was there, just a food truck. It was K&J, whichI was also disappointed with. My turkey wrap was small, and very simple... My husband's pulled-pork mac/cheese was really goodthough - just small portions for too much money I thought ($10 for the small wrap). Sorry, I really don't like writing badreviews, but just feel that I needed to share so others know what to expect. Clarification after the reply/comment "I am notsure where the mix-up was where I thought it was a 12 pour": I can appreciate you using a 10oz glass, but I specifically askedthe bartender, after getting the glass, if I ordered the 12oz and he said "yes". Also the menu only shows that beer beingoffered in 5, 12 and 16oz (not 10). Picture added. Appreciate your quick response though! And like I said, the beer was prettygood :) Read more
