This place has the most amazing food & service! We ordered the Chicken Philadelphia & the Encrusted Whitefish & both were... fantastic! We ordered the Flaming Peach Melba for two & were very happy to have it prepared for us @ our table by our waiter,John T. Everything about the food & the dining experience exceeded our expectations! We stopped in at the Chippewa room on our way up into the UP for an early dinner. We were greeted and sat promptly by the... hostess, who was very personable and polite, and it was not a long wait until our server John came to the table. Once you sitdown, they bring complimentary warm cheese crusted bread rolls to your table, which are quite good. I ordered the trout specialwith rice pilaf and a salad, and my fiance ordered the lasagna. My salad was odd, it included whole baby carrots which was abit childish, in my opinion grating the carrots over the salad would have been a better idea; however, the raspberry dressingincluded with it was very good and seemed house made, and the greens themselves were healthy and not at all wilted. The Armenianrice pilaf was good, however the trout itself was undercooked, which I brought up with our server John and he was very quick totake it back and have the kitchen cook it further to address the issue. When the trout was brought back, it was almost perfectlycooked (hard to cook fish right if you have to do it twice) and they had refilled my rice pilaf for free and without everaddressing that they had, which was a kind gesture, and I happily ate it all. When cooked properly, the trout special is verygood for the $21 I paid. My fiancé's lasagna was drowned in sauce, and it was difficult to locate the noodles. According toher, it was good and she enjoyed it, but she was sure to tell me that she did not like the sauce to noodle ratio. Overall, forwhat I paid, I enjoyed the service and the staff is wonderful to deal with, but aspects of the food were not up to par for howthe Chippewa Room markets itself and for the average price of a meal there. If these few issues are sorted out though, I'dhappily go back for dinner again, especially given how pleasant the staff was. Read more
I've gotta say, this place totally blew me away. The salad dressing was phenomenal and the Swiss Onion Woup was delicious. I had... the NY Strip and my fiance had the Filet and were amazed by the flavor of our food. We were so full, but then saw a cart getrolled out and a waiter made another table some Banana's Foster and it looked so good that we had to order some up for ourselvesand our waitress came over with the cart and made it right in front of us, it's an impressive process and I've gotta say, it wastruly amazing. One of the best deserts we've ever had, I can't recommend it enough. My fiance and I both agreed that it was oneof the best meals we've had in a long time. We'll surely stop back when we're in town. We travel from the southeast to upper. Feel like it?s more like $$$ but absolutely worth it. We were all very full after having... the appetizers and whitefish dishes but still couldn?t help to order the dessert for a try. Joe was our server and he?s superpatient and familiar with every dish they provide. Highly recommend this place if you first go to the upper and want to find aplace to relax after enjoying the beautiful sunset at the lakeshore. Read more

Awesome place to spent your evening and have a wonderful diner. Per my feelings this place somewhere in between $$ and $$$, but... it totally worse money. Service is amazing, food quality really cool. It feels like your favorite homemade meals from yourgranny :) Great Native American atmosphere allows you to relax and enjoy your meal. Alcohol cocktails really contains alcoholand other beverages also very good. Recommending this place for special occasion or just to spent the night in very comfortableand friendly environment.
