Who leaves a review for a fast food joint? Not me....but this is no ordinary fast food place. We were visiting Mackinac Island... and stayed in Macinaw City for the night. Everywhere else was closed, so my husband and I hit KFC and ordered the KFC FamousBowl (mega comfort food--so tasty!). We have never encountered service like this at a fast food restaurant--so friendly,attentive, and genuinely pleased to serve us. Turned out it was the owner himself. Wow. We returned a couple nights later andthis time it was a different gentleman at the counter, but again, primo service. We were talking for days about what anunexpected, but delightful, experience our visit to KFC (of all places!) was. Read more
Very friendly staff! Food was hot and tastey, not like it had been sitting for long. Fresher than expected for a slower day
The guy behind the counter was awesome at taking orders and making sure everything was correct. He was very friendly and perhaps... the most amazing fast food counter person I've ever met. They had all the food ready to go and moved the line very fast. Foodwas hot and tasty. Not a lot of seating room and parking was a little tricky, but it was a refreshingly nice fast foodexperience. There were two women working the front. One Islander with multiple earrings and the other is an older woman with long greyish... hair. The first thing I noticed was the woman with many earrings was biting her nails with her left hand constantly in her mouthand picking her face. She was handling the food and packaging without washing her hands and with no gloves on. MAJOR RED FLAG.The other woman had an issue with me asking for my wings fresh to order. She later brought my order out to us, but the wingswere not fresh to order. What they did was put already cooked wings back into the fryer, which caused them to now be wayovercooked, hard, and unsatisfying. Additionally, they have a tip jar on the counter. Since when does KFC have tip jars whenthey pay their employees full rate for working?? I wil not visit again. Read more
Very pricey but I was impressed with the customer service! The older gentleman who takes orders was extremely polite and very... patient. My nieces and I walked in and had to take a few minutes to decide what we wanted and he was very courteous! He deservessome recognition. All employees there seemed to be on top of their game! Chicken is always perfectly seasoned and cooked thoroughly. I love the green beans there as well. The store was clean and the... staff are all friendly and love joking around. They were incredibly speedy in preparing your food too. By the time you paid,your food was already ready. Perfect for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Read more
Longest lines ever, and they refuse to cook fresh food and only serve a few items off the menu. Poor customer service and I... would recommend elsewhere if you?re looking for a quick bite. Read more
