Been here several times with the family and the food has always been great for the reasonable price point. The pot roast dinner... is delicious, although I wish they'd use better quality veggies for their sides. As far as breakfast, my eggs over easy haven'tbeen cooked that way 3 times so far, not the best look for such a staple food. Their lunch and dinner offerings make up for itsomewhat. First time here at Country Inn and they did Not disappoint!! Built like a log cabin inside and nicely decorated. We ordered... salmon which is Wild caught, sides were macaroni and cheese. Second order was Meatloaf with gravy, fresh made mashed potatoesand fried okra. Everything tasted delicious. On Garfield rd just a hop skip and a jump north of 18 mile. I recommend you trythem. I?ve always loved the country inn for tasty home style food. I went this past weekend and had a great breakfast and a wonderful... customer service experience thanks to one of their team members, Doris. She made us feel right at home and continued to check onus after a long wait for a server. It made a huge difference and had us hoping to come back soon! Read more
I went there with a party of 20. With that many people service was great. The food was good. Everyone agreed. Not 1 complaint.... Everyone's meal came out hot. The server's asked if all was good, if we needed anything. Promptly came with take home boxes aswe were done. My first time there. I'm sure I will be back. Read more
Friendly and clean with terrific employees Love the decor. Food is good with sizable portions I specifically wanted to try... this restaurant because of the mixed reviews so I could decide for myself. This was our first visit to this establishment, as we don't usually hang out in this city, or any of the surrounding areas. But,... we found ourselves down that way, and in need of a place to eat lunch, so we spotted it from the road, and decided to give it atry since it looked cozy and relaxed. We are very glad we stopped in, as the service we received, and the food that we orderedwere absolutely top notch from start to finish! Very nice interior upon entry, with smiling staff to greet you. We were seatedquickly, and drink orders taken very quickly. The food coming out of the kitchen is superb! Hats off to the kitchen staff! Thefood not only looked appetizing, but it tasted amazing, and filled our bellies with delight. If we ever find ourselves down thatway and in need of a bit to eat, we know where we are going! The food quality & portions have really gone downhill, while the prices have shot up considerably in the past year. My... disappointment started when my sister was still waiting to be seated after I dropped her off at the door. She has a bad back &uses a cane & oxygen. There were very few customers & at least 3 employees milling around by the front register, but they lefther standing there. After being seated, we asked our server where the Specials Board was. She said they discontinued itbecause all the meals were on the menu already. When I asked Weren't the 'Specials' daily Discounted Meals, she said No. So whydid they bother putting a Specials Board up all these years? Next disappointment was the $6.99 french onio soup which was noteven a full bowl & had a heavy peppery taste. 0 stars. My burger & fries were good. But the fact that the server mentionedtwice that 'they just changed the grease so the fries should be 'really good' made me nervous. They were good, but they did nothave the same tasty seasoning they used to have. My sister's chicken breast dinner was tasty but cold & so skimpy. Two verysmall, thin pieces of chicken not much bigger than medallions. When she asked the server to warm it up, she was told that itwas cold because she took so long to eat her soup ! Shameful! The topper was our bill. We had a coupon to buy one entree andget half off another. The coupon also advertised a 15% senior discount. When we paid the bill, we asked for the senior discountbut did not get 15%, we got 10%. I reminded them that the coupon stated 15% and the manager told us that they changed it! Itwas a misprint and it was only 10%. We just received the coupon the day before, so it was not like it was old & expired.. WhenI questioned the 'false advertising' the manager said Well, I didn't print the coupon!! WHAT TYPE MANAGER SAYS THAT? I didn'twant to make a scene, so we paid & left I just want people to know that they are cheap & unethical. Read more
