Ernie's surprised me! That does not happen that often. There was no wait getting seated. We sat indoors, but they also have... outdoor seating. The staff were very attentive. When we were seated, the waiter brought out a loaf of their homemade bread hotfrom the oven. Yum! The food was excellent. I had a chicken BLT and enjoyed every bite! What surprised me was the size of thesandwich! It has to be the bigest sandwich I have ever had! I ate half and was stuffed. Their homemade potato chips drizzled inhoney were great. My wife had a Traverse City salad with grilled chicken. The cherry vinaigrette was divine! Again we weresurprised with the huge piece of chicken that came with the salad. Next we ordered Key Lime pie... Wow, talk about a tastytreat! Another home made item that tastes just like mom use to make! If you're looking for an upscale place to take someonespecial to, consider going to Ernie's. I am sure you'll be as pleased as I am with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Fabulous meal catching up with great friends . We had wonderful server named Tina who made our dining experience the best and... the food was delicious. Each one of us had a seafood meal and they were all exceptional. Will most definitely go back. Read more

Food was delicious BUT it?s about the whole experience. I wanted broccoli, the waitress said that would be included but if I... wanted green beans that would be a $1 up charge. So then she came back and said it would be a $5. up charge, Seriously?? I paid$24 for one piece of salmon and $5 for broccoli, a side is supposed to be included. As you can see I didn?t even get greenbeans!! They also have closed the really nice dining room on the side where you can see the kitchen. It was so much nicerbefore! It?s not the fancy Ernie?s that we?ve been to before it?s more like a sporty Art & Jakes now. It?s sad because wereally liked them. I?ll pass from now on!! Read more
We went here for a large (over 50ppl) private 90th birthday party on a weekend before the restaurant was open to the public. The... service, atmosphere, space and food was excellent. After this experience, I called Ernie's re: hosting a large private banquetand the manager I spoke with was very friendly even though it was obvious he was busy. Unfortunately, their banquet menu, infoand prices are not on the website and I went with another venue. Highly encourage Ernie's to add banquet details to the site, Iwas very interested! Read more
