To anyone who realistically gave this place a bad review, their spirit is off apparently. Their energy is always nice. The smell... just depends on which incident he decided to burn that DLOL. He is very knowledgeable, and a very good cook. When you visitHomeland, you are not paying for jesses material, you are paying for his knowledge and everything else that comes with it. Tothe commoner hello, Dorothy battle, you my friend are ?weird and spooky? If you don?t like it move on. No one forced you to go .I hate when people leave reviews and they?re not realistic. What does the lighting in the place have to do with what he sells? Not a thing. He doesn?t sell lighting, he sells knowledge and food. Which if you want to be technical is one in the same!! Read more

Attention all natural enthusiasts! This is the place to be if you are into taking care of your body naturally. They have a... great selection on everything you would need for body and hair, home and intellect. The shea butter ( I have so many favorites)is by far the best I've used. The natural deodorant is great, smells wonderful and works! They have shampoo, body oils, natural soaps and supplements. There are all types of incense and oils, decorative items, African clothing, jewelry and books. The kitchen serves up fresh juices and vegan food that is really great; call ahead for the menu, as the daily items may change. All of this in a unique setting that makes you feel at home. Read more

A true warming, holistic cultural experience ! I?m embarrassed to say i had not experienced this place prior to today. ... Delicious food that i didn?t have to season at all(vegan), warm inviting personality from the owner and books to elevate you. There are many things to explore here and I will be back tomorrow ???????? Read more

Homeland Village is a very necessary place to visit, shop, dine and soak up our true cultural essence. You can even sit and read... or pick up a good game of chess. For me personally it's a place that nourishes me with food for the mind, body and soul. RealSoul Food! Read more

I was on the road and looking for a vegan meal. Google maps suggested Homeland Village, so I decided to try it out. I'm really... happy that I did! I was confused at first because the front of the store is filled with books and gifts and it didn't seem likea restaurant, but the worker at the counter showed me to a side room where the owner was preparing some of the best vegan foodI've had in a long time. There isn't a huge menu, but everything was delicious. If I lived in Macon, I'd probably go there everyday. I'll definitely be back! Read more

Just enjoyed a meal from the Homeland Village Cultural Center. I think that was THE best vegan meal I have had in a long time. ... Everything smelled and tasted delicious. The salad, cabbages & carrots, rice and quinoa, and vegan beef was just what I neededfor a clean and healthy meal. Even the naturally sweet juice hit the spot. Overall, I don't feel the least bit guilty forfeeling so indulged. I am full and I am happy. Read more
