Stopped in for a pee, stayed for a Ceasar salad with prawns and a cup of chowder. The view from the deck is stunning.

Accutally only visited the Grasshopper pub in between ferry trips but was not impressed. The server was okay but food was... horrible. My hubby ordered the Philly beef dip and I had 2 piece fish n chips. The sandwich came just the meat on the bun noPhilly lol and my fish batter was soggy and everything on my plate was doused in pepper...the fries,the coleslaw and the actualfish batter.were coated in it,just me maybe but I hate pepper and never use it. Server offered to remake the order but we hadalready waited a long time and couldn't risk missing the ferry. This place jas the most beautiful view from the patio of the boats and peninsula. We ordered the cod and chips 1 piece. ... Should've ordered the 2 piece. The fish pieces were very very small. We had the chicken pot pie as well. The chicken potpiewas overflowing comfort food. Very delicious. The appetizer we chose was the seafood chowder. Save your money here. Thechowder was disappointing. Drinks were cold and wet and service was good for the most part. They were clear the moment youwalk in the door that they were having staff shortage issues which would make your food take long to arrive. We didn't find thefood took too long but we had to ask for our appetizer of chowder to show up after we were already eating our meal. We ended upwishing we had passed on it because it was nothing to write home about it. I still recommend coming here. The view alone wasworth it but the cod and chips and chicken pit pie especially brought this meal home. Thanks Grasshopper! Read more

This review is for the Grasshopper Pub. We experienced, in our opinion, very poor customer service. We were seated at a table... back from the view, and when we noticed two tables become available after the lunch crowd, we requested to move to one of theview tables - we had not received our food yet. The hostess informed us we needed to ask our waitress. Our waitress Georgia,supposedly the manager on duty at the time as well, informed us we would have to wait and ensure no other customers coming infrom the outside needed to be seated prior to us. She informed us because we had already ordered we did not receive firstpriority to one of the view tables. In the time we were there, (to resolve this we settled our bill and then stood in line -which there was no one ahead of us, to become patrons again at the pub and requested a view table - which they accommodated -how ridiculous!) we saw at least 3 other couples go through this process. Now as for our experience after this unfortunatebeginning, we were served by Carly and the experience was great and food was great. So if you can avoid the beginning process ofour adventure, I recommend this place and the view is amazing! Read more

We tried the Grasshopper Pub attached to the hotel. Amazing view from the patio, service was quick and the staff was super... friendly. We only had a light snack but looking at the menu the selection looked really nice and reasonably priced. The cobbsalad and cup of chowder came out quick and tasted very nice. The indoor dining area was roomy and had a nice atmosphere too.Strongly recommended stop along the Sunshine Coast! Read more

Great service, food and what a view! The server allowed us to bring our dog to a grassy area right next to the "family area",... which was nice. My wife and I loved the honey garlic chicken wings, seafood soup, chicken sandwich and side salad. Read more
